Don't you just hate it when this happens?

I had constipation this morning, and was late for work because I was stuck at home trying to go. Blush

Well, it didn't work - and I reluctantly had to drag my useless bum into work, without having managed to go.

So inevitably I have to try on the work toilets... (which I hate at the best of times when I don't have constipation, and today things were on a whole different level of struggling to go).

And sure enough... Somebody else comes in, and decides that they are going to sit in the next cubicle and wait for me to leave before they will go.

Have you ever tried to relieve constipation, in a toilet cubicle, when you need to strain, but can't because you have an audience who can hear on the other side of a thin wooden panel (that doesn't even touch the floor so people can see my feet)?

Well, take it from me - it is physically impossible to have a poo!

xx

Yup, been there. Awkward.

What's worse is being stuck in the work cubicle with a turd as big as a baby half way out past the point of no return but then stuck. Then someone comes and sits in the cubicle next to you whilst you wonder if you may need the fire brigade.

That was a long 45 minutes of sweat tears and blood quite literally

This time round I eat lots of dried apricots. Grin

A shot of prune juice every day Wink

Fybogel. One-two sachets a day.

One before bed usually gets a movement the following morning, one in the morning gets something in the evening. It's gentler than a laxative (its a fibre supplement).

Oh sorry OP but that's really made me laugh! Hope you finally managed to plop it out Grin

Fwiw similar has happened to me (not pregnant at the time) at a curry house. I knew I had to go then and it would not be pleasant, I wanted to get it over quickly so none of the rest of the party would realise it was a poo job. Got in and had 5 minutes of pumps, just as it was all about to kick off one of the women from our group came in! She didn't leave for ages either! Absolutely mortifying

I'm lucky that I work from home. I was constipated on tues so took lactulose AND drank a massive glass of prune juice on Wednesday morning. Completely overdid it and was blowing myself around the house before a bad case of the runs! Lesson learned, one or the other, not both Blush
