DH and I have just been doing some gardening and tidying up the garden in general. We had a lot of wood to get rid of so he decided to burn it. I've been stood outside for an hour whilst he did it and now I'm wondering if I may have been a bit stupid and done something to harm the mini mallow in me!!

Please someone tell me I'm being daft!!!

I dont get you. You did gardening and stood near a bonfire? And......?

You mean the smoke? Don't worry and yes you're being a bit daft Flowers
When I was pg with DC3 we went to a festival where we were allowed campfires In the evenings. I spent 5 days surrounding by wood fires and baby suffered no ill effects. Unlike me who felt sick every time I smelled the smoke on my clothes!

You're being daft Smile You were out in the open air, not trapped inside a burning building, so chances are you haven't inhaled enough smoke to do yourself damage, let alone your baby - who is, after all, tucked up snugly in his/her little swimming pool & is blissfully unaware of your stressing!

If it helps to ease your mind, remember that pregnant ladies have been snuggled up in front of fires for years and years through the winter, and wood smoke is also far less of a worry than if you were burning tyres or plastics.

Thanks ladies.

This is one of my first freak outs and didn't really think about it rationally!! But it happens.

Going to go change all my clothes now as the smell of fire is making me feel a bit rubbish.
