17 weeks and think I'm feeling baby move but not sure?

I can feel what can only be described as random vibrating and the odd muscle like spasm feeling this can come and go or be quite persistent at times. I'm not convinced that it's my baby as it is sometimes higher up than my belly button, is this possible and where about do you normally feel flutters at this stage?

That's not far off when I started feeling something but not discernible movements, but the baby is way below your belly button at 17 weeks.

Sorry phone playing up!

I'm not sure but would like to know as I've been feeling the same - sort of like a muscle twitch, some low down but some higher slightly than my belly button (I'm 18+3).

I think it might be movements as I've read that they can be difficult to recognise at first, especially if it's your first child!

I don't mean like above it maybe about level but to the side. Sometimes it's hard to pin point where it is

That's just how it started for me. An odd twitch, twang or ping I'd never felt before.
Congratulations Grin

I've had movement from about 15 weeks for baby number one but definitely way below the belly button. Even now at 18 weeks it's not even close to there. I know it's movement because I can see it on the outside! At first it felt like twinges, then wind and now it's obviously movement :) it's so exciting!!

Wow honeybear you must be so thin to see it move already. I guess I won't know what it is for sure till a few weeks

It's never really low so I'm thinking it can't be the baby must just be pregnancy making my body do funny things

I'm about a ten but I've never had fat on my tummy, I'm very lucky I know. It's really unusual I think to see it so early. But at my 16 week appointment even the midwife said baby was moving loads when she used the Doppler. I hope you feel 'sure' soon. It really is lovely :)
