I had nosefrida but I reckon they're all similar - boots have them of a larger one. Maybe a Vicks vaporiser might help? Sympathies - awful when a tiny baby has a cold. Get them to the dr is you're worried, better to be safe. I think the karvol plug ins highly recommended too. Good luck op.

The child is due mid June but I think I may as well get an aspirator in prep for him arriving. Not looking forward to the inevitable snotty grossness...

You can get saline wipes too and saline sprays to help with the clear out. I hope you manage to avoid colds for at least the first 3 months though!

What's the point of a saline spray or wipe? With regards to the wipe, couldn't you just use a muslin? This will be a first child and I'm a bit baffled by it all!

you spray saline spray up their nose and it helps to clear nasal congestion. I never had an aspirator. Karvol plug ins no longer exist (they were great) but there are other ones about.

I use baby nose clear. It's about £9 in boots. It's been a godsend. We also used the saline spray (boots own) and kids olbas oil at times.

Yes the downside of nasal aspiratiors is sometimes you have to clear hard/slightly dry snot and for that, re wetting it with saline can be good. Of course you can use reusable wipes and put the spray on them. Agree with olbas oil too - basically, if your baby gets a cold, you'll probably go through all of these :)
