Kingston Hospital - Struggling to get booked in

I was just wondering if anyone else has been referred to Kingston and is really struggling with them?

I'll be 11 weeks on Wednesday and am a high risk pregnancy and have heard nothing, I'm not even booked in.

The main issue I have with this is that I am scheduled for a cerclage on either 8th or 14th May and need my nuchal scan and results back before this (op is at a non-local hospital due to a recommended consultant there).

I try calling the ante natal services and appointment lines many times a day, but they are always busy. I don't know what to do?

Which number are you calling? I would try all of the ones on here until you get the call answered... If the worst comes to the worst, call the switch board and ask to speak to Anna Dellaway (head of midwives).

I moved into the area just before having my first dc and had to choose between Kingston and WestMid - I went with WestMid because I could never get hold of Kingston on the phone either.

Have you checked your GP definitely referred you as well? They might have a different number you can call.

I've just had my baby at Kingston they were great. I didn't get my booking in appointment letter until I was 9 weeks, saw a midwife at 10+6 and scan at 12 weeks.

Whilst I wasn't at Kingston first time nor am I there now, I am near-by in st helier and had a similar experience in that they sat on my referral for best part of a month. I eventually phoned up and got sorted booking in appt and scan date and it felt they only sorted it as I was on the phone to them. But maybe it's a London thing....everywhere is fit to bursting.

I am at Kingston and didn't get my booking in until 11 weeks.

Oh and was referred by the GP at 4+5 and didn't get the letter until 6 weeks later. The midwife I saw when I finally got to was lovely though if that's any help!

I chased my GP last night to resend my referral. The surgery have just called me to say they have heard back already.

My booking in will be at 12 weeks and my scan at 13+1.

It's too late for my surgery, so i'm going to have to go private for the NT, but at least i heard back in the end!

Thanks for sharing your experiences.
