Hi. I've had yellow smelly discharge for a couple of weeks now. It's very heavy. I though this was normal but a friend has said this can be damaging to the baby. Should I go to the hospital, or is she talking out of her bumhole?

Pregnancy naturally increases the amount of discharge a women produces. But it shouldn't be yellow and smelly. Thrush is very common in pregnancy so I'd pop to the gp and get a swab done. No it won't hurt the baby but do book an app with your gp.

Personally I would go to the gum clinic for a check up. Not saying you have an sti it's just the best place to get your bits checked.

I've got a doctors appointment on Tuesday so I'll wait for then. Didn't know if I should go to the hospital.
DH and I haven't done it since I found out I was preg (Horrible sickness then when that went it was too painful) so it's not an sti.

Is it smelly even when fresh? I find that I feel really grubby down there if I don't change pads every couple of hours and it starts to be a bit smelly then. Don't know if it really is or just because my nose is so sensitive!

When you say smelly, is it an offensive smell or just strong?
