Hi All.

What it says in the title - can anyone recommend a taxi company that will take a woman in labour to hospital in north/northwest London? (happens to be the Royal Free if that makes any difference).

Last resort we just won't tell them until they arrive and bring a bin liner to sit on, but I'd feel more comfortable being honest/if they were less likely to pull a runner when they saw me.

Thanks!

Do the hospital not know of any? I know when I had DS the mw at my antenatal classes gave out numbers of taxi companies that took women in labour.

Thanks Pobble. I will ask at my next class. Just was hoping someone had direct experience of one.

I gave birth at the Royal Free a couple of years ago. We used Chalk Farm Cars as they were just round the corner and had no problems. We didn't tell them I was in labour but they didn't seem to have any problem with it.

We checked with the firm round the corner from us before the event so we knew they would take us (Crouch End to the Whittington) Just ring round a few to ask and go from there.
