I'm having a girl, first baby Smile.

I'm ok with socks and slip on shoes but need DH's help with some laces and tighter boots!!

TheRealGabster · 23/04/2014 21:54

I'm having a girl too!! Have DS1 already, he's 6. Not the age gap I had always planned but have to admit its easy. Especially as he picks things up off the floor for me :-) He's miffed he's not getting a brother though lol!

Ooooh "tighter boots". Are you one of those yummy mummies then? How fab! Wink

JuniorMint · 23/04/2014 21:59

Ha ha no not at all.... Grin I meant "tighter boots" as in ones I would actually need to make an effort to pull on (or rather DH needs to make the effort to pull on) as opposed to slouchy ugg-style boots I can just slip on!

Beautifulboy1 · 23/04/2014 22:15

Hi all, I am 37 +5 today, awaiting birth of DS2 (Jack) we already have DS1 (Luke) who is 17 months old. Have CS booked in for 7th May but have a feeling I wont make it until then!

Has anyone had any twinges or anything yet? I am having a strange time, one minute I can't bare thinking of going into labour the next I think, bring it on! Can't remember what it feels like to be "normal" anymore!

Nades84 · 23/04/2014 23:51

Ever so slightly jealous of you ladies who can still put your own socks on lol as for shoes, I have now resorted to flats so I can actually do something myself ha!

Beautifulboy1 I keep getting twinges 'down there' MW says it's called lightening crotch and I can see why, ouch! If it carries on like this I don't think I'll make it to my section date either!

TheRealGabster · 24/04/2014 21:07

Anybody around this evening? Feeling right fed up. Bloody indigestion.

LOL JuniorMint. I am impressed you are still struggling with boots - I have my trainers tied slightly loose so that I can slip them on and off when needed and can't wait for more flip flop weather!

Hello Beautiful - yes! I have been having twinges and was wondering! That is exciting. Maybe we will both be done soon then.

Nades don't be jelous, socks went on this morning no problem but going to need DP to take them off for me in a minute. Lol!

Has everyone started their maternity leave yet? This is my first proper week and I have only made it to Thursday and couldn't resist popping my head in to work to catch up on the gossip (I live in the same villlage as work). How sad is that? Grin

peeapod · 24/04/2014 21:32

I have been on forced "maternity leave" since sunday and already netflix and facebook games are getting really boring.

I'm just physically unable to function any more than sitting around.. ahh well 2 weeks left..

baby is officially full term today, which is very very scary...

Beautifulboy1 · 24/04/2014 21:46

Evening ladies, well DH has taken DS to bed so I can stay up longer. I dread going to bed due to the toilet breaks, hip pain, lack of breath etc, lol. I have actually slept on the sofa the last few nights as that is where I am most comfy.

I have taken my mind of it all today and finished my ironing, started packing as moving from Berkshire to Lancashire 2 weeks after my c section (wonder if that's why I'm stressed! :-)

How are all you blossoming mothers to be this fine Thursday evening?

Wonder which one of us will get some movement this evening, any signs or twinges? xx

peeapod · 24/04/2014 21:54

my bump doesn't stop moving lol..

my oh has also been able to hear baby moving around, breathing and her heartbeat by putting his ear on my bump.. its so lovely :D

TheRealGabster · 24/04/2014 21:58

Oh peapod, that sounds a bit bothersome, is it your first? Are you not feeling the benefits of enforced rest at all?

Beautiful, you sound like you have a lot going on - why do things always seem to converge????

If you are comfy on the sofa than why worry? Although, have you tried propping yourself up in bed? I sleep almost sitting up with a sea of cushions around me so support me (if I lie on my side for more than an hour or so my hips/back really hurt and my legs go numb from spine problems).

My DH started a new job this week and we thought he would be home loads earlier but it turns out the commute is so much worse than anticipated he is getting home even later than before Angry. I'm so fed up. But at least I am getting around I suppose. Managed to do the school run/pick up on foot today for the first time in ages so suppose that means resting/finishing work has paid off for me at least.

TheRealGabster · 24/04/2014 22:00

Sorry Peapod just seen your second post. How gorgeous. Grin

Rosie2011 · 28/04/2014 12:40

samandkat · 01/05/2014 16:19

Lower back pain
Swollen ankles
Bad headaches

Hip pain
Legs feel heavy

My c section is now booked in for next Friday the 9th so cant wait I'm at end of my.tether with this pregnancy but if I go to labour ward they will assess me then put me on a bed and "observe me" give me paracetamol and send me home so I refuse to go anywhere but at same time I'm unsure if I could.be on the verge of labour or if my cervix is dilating or not
