Anyone else pregnant and breastfeeding?

I'm pregnant with dc2 due in December. I still breastfeed my 16 month old ds and have no intention of stopping soon, but my nipples are now agony when he latches on!

I'm also eating for England and even more dehydrated than normal.

Is anyone else out there pg and bf? It would be nice to share experiences with others.

I did breastfeed when I was pregnant it's been 14 years ago now I can't remember my nipples hurting just that I had to stop when I couldn't actually get him near my boob!!

Me! I'm due Nov' and still feeding DD2 who is 2 and a half. She still feeds a lot and i have no idea how to reduce it without upsetting her so just letting nature take it's course!
I'm not finding it uncomfortable to feed at the moment but I've had horrible morning sickness and been so tired.
Does you DS feed a lot?

Ds is feeding loads at the moment. I am hoping to let nature take its course too, I always wanted to feed until he decided to stop but he is a boob monster so I may have to change my plan and wean him this year, or read up on tandem feeding!

Am also pregnant & bfing!

Am due DC3 in Oct (am 15 weeks today) and still feeding DC2 (nearly 25 months). The early weeks can be agony, but the boob tenderness passes and it gets easier.

I also fed DC1 when I was pregnant and he self-weaned at about 20 months, when I was about 23-25 weeks pregnant. My milk had dried up and we were down to one feed every couple of days.

I'm hoping DD is like her brother as I really don't want to tandem feed but don't want to distress her either. We're down to mostly one feed a day (sometimes more) so I'm hoping it just tails off the same way. I'd like a couple of months off feeding before getting back to that newborn, feeding constantly stage again...

Me, I'm due September (16 weeks now) and my daughter is 18 months. Just once a day though. It is beginning to get a little tender now but I think I've got off light. It was fine when first pregnant, and a huge bonus was my boobs didn't grow or get sore like the first time! (they are up one size now though)

I suspect she will self wean as we only do one feed in the morning. I have very mixed feelings about it all!

I am 12 weeks pregnant and breastfeed 15 month old ds but only in the day time now.

My boobs actually feel less sore in this pregnancy than ds's pregnancy, I have struggled a bit with feeding aversion. specifically in the night time, ds would use my nipple as a dummy which pre pregnancy wasn't a problem I'd sleep through the sucking but now I can't stand the shallow suck. We night weaned ds and it has been great, he has started sleeping through the night, he seems to be making up for the lack of night feeds by feeding lots in the day.

I thought he would naturally start loosing interest in breastfeeding but if anything he is getting more and more attatched to breastfeeding. He has just learnt to say "boobie" and if I walk into the room he is in he runs up to me shouting "mamma, mamma, mamma, boob-beee! boob-bee!!!"

I BFed DS when pregnant and he self weaned because apparently my milk tastes yucky :( it was tiring and slightly nauseating in the early days though.

moresnow That sounds like hard work! You are super mum :)

We roughly followed this advice when we night weaned ds, I was supprised about how little upset there was, for our family it was 100% worth it, ds is more settled as he sleeps through now and I have more energy.

Ds's daytime feeds have incresed but for me the daytime is easier because when he starts doing a shallow suck or when he is just mucking about I can distract him easier.

Thanks for that link ikeaismylocal. I have heard that breast milk changes at 4 or 5 months pregnant and this can lead to natural weaning. Not really sure I want to stop though, just once or twice a day would be nice!

Feeds have increased lately and I think it's down to me producing less milk. I drink pints of water but just can't get enough. It feels odd being third in line in priority in my own body!

Lol at "mama boobee"! I just get "milk! milk!" Shouted across the room.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and feeding DD (15 months) just once a day, although she missed her feed yesterday and I was getting a bit sore, so grateful that she nursed this morning!

It is extremely uncomfortable on my nipples but an improvement from the early days when it was absolute agony. I have a feeling that my milk may be turning to colostrum as well as she had a suckle last night but went 'eurgh!' after having a little bit. Didn't mind this morning though.

I reckon she'll probably self wean soon which half of me thinks will be a relief on my boobs but the other half is a bit sad. I heard it's more normal to naturally wean after 18 months so I feel a bit guilty about getting pregnant and speeding it up before she might be truly ready.
