Hi all
I'm 24 weeks and am thinking of taking fish oils
I realise I've left it rather late but due to constant nausea and morning sickness even getting basic food into me has been a huge struggle

so better late than never as they say

does anyone take fish oils and if so what brand is best and would you recommend??
I would like to get the best quality one rather than a cheap one as I've heard you have to be careful about the source of the fish oils

Any advice on the best quality fish oils during pregnancy would be much appreciated

Make sure they have no vitamin a! Some do.

I took Boots own brand omega oil. You can select different strengths and its on a quality par with pricier brands.

I took Pregnacare plus omega 3 during both my pregnancies and while breastfeeding.
I preferred to stick to a brand that was aimed specifically at pregnancy so I knew it was safe with the correct amount of each vitamins and minerals.
A pack is about a months supply and costs around £15 but you can get them on 3 for 2 in boots

I take Equazen Mumomega, they've been brilliant for me Smile

Sainsburys do a pregnancy multivit that has pregnancy safe fish oils in. I can't bear the fish oils after taste and have tried quite a few and find those best

I have taken pregnacare vits that have an omega capsule too, as someone has mentioned.

order them from amazon if u can - pretty much half the price of boots! Smile

I get Pregnacare Max or Plus from Boots. Boots also do their own version and SevenSeas do one too which I used once when I couldn't get my normal one.

Hi, I've been taking Pregnacare Max since I was able to start keeping food and water down (I had sickness very bad at the early stages, hospitalised twice).

They have 2 tablets and a Fish oil tablet to tax daily. 3 tablets seems like a lot and they are quiet big but I think it's worth it imo.

You can get these from Boots, although expensive compared to others as previously mentioned you can get them on 3 for 2.

It's never too late to start giving yourself and your baby a healthy boost :-)

thanks all for your feedback - that's really helpful

I've had such awful nausea up until a week ago that I haven't been able to stomach very much food least of all big fish tablets but now that I can eat slightly more normally I would like to try and get some healthy fish oils

I've heard from a friend that the mum omega are quite good if anyone has tried these?
