Painful shooting pains 20 weeks

I'm 20 weeks and 6 days and started having horrible shooting pains in the centre of my lower abdo today. Is this round ligament pain? As it's new to me, am not sure what to expect. Thanks.

I've been having something that sounds similar (if not the same) over the weekend and am 17 weeks. Midwife said she thinks it's RLP. Have you noticed a growth spurt this week and is the pain off to one side? If so it's likely RLP but obviously getting yourself checked if you're worried is best course of action
