Wrap style slings in the winter

Looking to buy a Moby Wrap for dc2. I had a Bjorn type with dd and wore it over my coat, however the stretchy wrap ones seem to be best worn against me rather than a big coat - what do I do?

Does baby come inside my coat too?

Yes.

But I was so warm with baby and wrap I just wore large cardigans. Nice and snugly for baby and resist to wash than a coat (but Ds had reflux). I had a pac a mac for when it rained (baby inside to keep dry)

I liked my baby bjorn and only discovered stretchy wraps with dc3 but they are really lovely.

Im a warm bod anyways and last pg (december baby) I would just leave my non-maternity coat open or wear a thick cable knit cardi.

Should baby be in a pramsuit if my coat os open? Im so confused!

Do you have a local sling library? Or do a search on fb for sling groups... They,l be the best people to ask...

My sling library is great. I had a thin pramsuit for more cold days or thick knitted jumpers and a wooly bobble hat. When they are tiny or sleepong their head is inside the material so no heart required.

Yes, you tie the wrap over your clothes and then wear a coat over the top.

This blog post gives a really good guide: southlondonslings.co.uk/2013/11/12/carrying-in-the-cold/

The moby is thicker than many other stretchy wraps so it is one of the warmest. Baby will probably only need to be in a pram suit if it's seriously cold.
