hi everyone, I think im being completely irrational.

dh has snip 18 months ago samples both clear and said no viable sperm etc.

anyway im not due on for 4 days but I have all the symptomsim scared

I was in the shower and when the water touched nipples it hurt! I have this awful shooting pain I have only ever had when early pregnant.

I had spotting a few days ago which I never had before unless pregnant!

I feel icky but could be stress of it all and me driving myself mad!I also have alwful ligament pain when I sneeze or get up to quick .. again only got this in early pregnancy.

its impossible isnt? there isn't a chance obviouat there is something else here maybe coming down with something. It's too early to test .. don't want to talk to anyone else as they will think im insane .. which I probably am

You wouldn't have a case against a clinic unless you could demonstrate either that the semen analysis was wrongly carried out giving a false clear result, or that they had incorrectly told you that there was zero risk of late failure.

The small risk of late failure is covered in pre-operative counselling and is normally repeated explicitly in "All clear" letters.

ladythatlunches · 03/03/2014 18:30

dh has his all clear letter that explains the vasectomy was a successful and that we now can discard any contraceptive.

Honestly it's not even a issue right now last thing on my mind

Any developments??

ladythatlunches · 05/03/2014 18:26

hi,

well done 3 first response tests .. they had dark tips, so dark at top and bottom and kind of faint in middle all three of them done different mornings!

dh got me sainsburys own all blue lines apart from there all skinny lines, since googling they are known for these awful lines which mostly turn into negatives. I bought 2 pack today peed on one and got my mum to pee on one (def not pregnant) and hers was completely blank mine again had this blue skinny line.

im actually due on Friday so non of the wiser just stressed from it all. im not going to test unless period isa no show Friday, Iim fed up with the dodgy lines. in fact I will start a post see if anyone else has them. thered sridriving me nuts.

Dodgy lines are very common when you are early on in pregnancy. Getting a false result is rare and you've had a few.

I think you're pregnant!

How do you feel about it if so? What does your DH think? Hope all is well.

meditrina · 05/03/2014 18:56

I'm sorry - this must be so stressful for you (and that won't help bring on a shy AF).

For those who think they can help - here is OP's thread about the weird lines which may shortly be linked to pix.

PotteringAlong · 05/03/2014 18:57

If you've done 4 pregnancy tests and they've all come up positive then I don't think that's a dodgy test...

PotteringAlong · 05/03/2014 19:08

I've looked at the pictures on the other thread - I'm saying positive!

HopefulHamster · 06/03/2014 20:14

The pics all seem to have gone? Well OP if you have been cracking test cases open there could be hope for you yet - I think you need to wait a couple more days to know for certain either way.

The most annoying thing about pregnancy is that waiting is the only sure answer is to whether you are pregnant or not at the beginning.

ladythatlunches · 06/03/2014 20:54

yesterday when I went on the site ot somehow linked to my fb. it waa afwul I couldn't get it off news feed evwn though I deleted it off so I went on and deleted pictures.

I done one today and it had another dark but skinny lineI I didn't open this one :).but did a digital also ajd said not pregnant. soo that's that I hope

just a little update incase anyone stumbles across this

my period has arrived in full force.

all tests must of beeb duff.. even if ones I dis first thing this morning had the same lines and I didn't open them up!

a strong letter to first response and sainsburys has been sent!

meditrina · 07/03/2014 15:39

Very relieved on your behalf to read that AF has arrived!

Now that you know there is a chance that vasectomy can fail, what are you going to do about future contraception? You can get DH's semen reanalysed periodically to check he's remaining clear, but as the first symptom of recanalisation is unexpected pregnancy, you might want to think about whether to will indeed ever feel you can trust it as sole method. (I'm taking it as read that you don't want to be going through this panic again!)

The fail rate (under 1:2000 after clear tests) is about as low as a single method can get. But only you can judge if you're happy with that.

ladythatlunches · 07/03/2014 15:43

very relieved.

dh sent a sample off yesterday so should get results in 5 working days :)

I have fallen pregnant on all contraceptive methods .. so vasectomy was to finally stop worrying.

we shall see what his results come back with and go from there.

Phew!

mimi74 · 08/03/2014 17:34

Just catching up and only just seen this thread. I am pregnant following OH's vasectomy, 1 in 1000 can reverse we were told. His tubes have re-attached themselves even though he had the all clear 2 years ago after the op. It definitely can happen and I am testament to that!
Hope the results of his tests are what you want to see!

ladythatlunches · 08/03/2014 18:08

hi mimi congratulations, I hope a happy surprise?

thankfully for us my period has arrived so im assuming my complete over reaction and dodgy test is a one off but always good to double check.

we already have 5 children , our last two are twins and they were a lovely surprise for us but we really can't financially have anymore, life is pretty full on as it is

Needing some advice ladies. Have had Mirena fitted for 4 years. Have recently had sex and partner had a vasectomy 2 years ago. I have bloated belly and the regular brown spotting I get with the Mirena, nothing else. Not sure if cystitis or pregnancy? Could I get pregnant with Mirena and Vasectomy. I've been to GP and she checked Mirena was in place with threads showing?
