I forgot how tired pregnancy makes you....

And this time i have another child to look after!!
Just a whinge really!! Anyone else feel free to jump on the band waggon

Still nearly in the second trimester so in hoping it will settle down soon.

I'm exhausted. Even walking to school 5 minutes away is a real effort now. I have 2 lively school age/pre school children who like to run and scoot and ride bikes and I'm waddling along at almost 38 weeks trying to keep up!

Oh bless you mummypig not much longer now though? You'll be chasing them along with your pram soon! :D

I know. I'm consoling myself with the thought that this baby will be out by the end of march.

I'm so grumpy though and dh is driving me mad suggesting ways to get me into labour! And it's pouring with rain :-(

Im 20 weeks and only in the last week has the tiredness started to lift a little. Iv also got another dc to look after who is disabled and its been so stressful! A few weeks ago I was so tired in the afternoon I had to sit on the floor to keep myself awake! x

Can I join in for a moan? Nearly 12 weeks and bone shatteringly tired. Dd (21mo) has decided 5 am is now her start to the day and I'm having to go to bed at 9 just to survive. What with that and the sickness I'm feeling pretty crap

I found out I was pregnant early in the morning when ds decided it was time to get up at 5 so needed a wee after I had to Poas at a ridiculous time!!!

Nearly 7 weeks, am reckoning that my tiredness last time lasted til about 15 weeks

38+4 and absolutly shattered and its getting worse daily heres hoping he isnt late!!

I'm 35 weeks, I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I am shattered, and to top it all of my dh has dislocated his collar bone whilst pratting about skiing, he is out of action for 4 weeks. No driving, no lifting, he is all strapped up and I am having to wash him as he can't even do that, oh happy days.........not!

I would love a little moan please... Im 26 weeks.....i have 2 little boys age 6 and 4.... Back ache is taking over nearly every waking hour, which is plenty as im awake most of the night with heartburn. Im so tired i could drop, busy with a part time job + voluntary time in school.. Dont want to give up either but dont know how much longer i can manage! So very tired! I have 11 weeks to go as will be induced at 37 weeks due to babys serious health condition. Then have a long road to travel .... My baby needs open heart surgery soon after birth...i want to stay pregnant forever whilst he is safe but also want it over so he can start on the journey to being well. So......positive most of the time and so very blessed my baby has got this far but..........wow, im so tired

God I feel for those of you who are 20, 30 weeks on onwards. I'm not quite 10 weeks and feel completely washed out. Not helped by working 40+ hours a week and having a 10 month old, but I'm fearing it's going to get worse before it gets better. Clinging to the fact that I felt better in the 2nd trimester last time......

I've got the 10-11 week tiredness and was wailing down the phone to DH 'how come other women can stay awake?' I feel like a husk. People say "it gets better soon" I bloody hope so or I'll be zzzing at work at this rate!

Pussycat hoping all the best for you and your son. How tough it must be. Hoping those tough times fly by and your child gets healthy as soon as poss. x

Like i say, extremely grateful and blessed our babe has even got this far, we found out at 20 wk scan - although serious and potentially fatal without surgery (its called transposition of greater arteries ) we are grateful that drs know all about it, surgery is planned to take place asap, and i will deliver with specialists etc with plans to transfer baby immediately to glenfield cardiac hospital. Ive had almost 7 weeks to get my head round it now, although it put me into devastating shock, i think ive come to terms with it pretty well. Sorry to waffle.....[Blush] sometimes its cathartic just to write it down...
Hope all you other exhausted mums to be start feeling better very soon!!! Reason im up now is no, not heartburn, not backache, but my 4 year old throwing up in bed bless him, just got cleaned up and then (bleeeeeueuugh) all over me, all over our bed and all in my hair - not one thing its another eh ladies....

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I have a 5 1/2 month old DS who wakes up between 8/9 am but likes to go to bed for a one hour nap after his bottle so I take nap as well. After sleeping 10 hours plus the one hour I'm still tired. And now feeling sick to my stomach started but only in the evening..

Jealous to those ladies that are over 20 weeks already..

I had some potential issues with baby's heart/arteries flagged at 12 week scan - I have 20 week scan on Tuesday and am terrified. Chances are all will be fine but....

Also exhausted this week - work has been so busy and not sleeping well (hence mumsnetting in wee hours!)

Totally shattered here too at 19 weeks. Definitely not helped by my 22 month old DD. I'm sleeping terribly, bad back etc. It was not this hard first time around... So happy it's the weekend and DH can help out.

My best friend's DS had to have heart surgery when he was born pussycat and he's a marvellous 1 year old now.

I too am mainly shattered, 38 weeks here, but sadly I slept yesterday afternoon and have yet to sleep tonight.

Hi all, I'm 12+6 weeks and all I want to do is sleep - I could happily sleep all day given the chance! Unfortunately my 5yr old, 3yr old and 1 yr old dc have other ideas...! What cheek to want to wake me up from dozing off on the sofa for things like food

I'm 12+6 and absolutely shattered. Sleeping 10 hours a night, get home from work after a 6 hour shift (6am-12pm) and sleep for 2 hours before leaving to pick DS (6) up from school.

Hopefully it will lift soon as we will all feel better :-) it's out bodies preparing us for new babies x

Can I join in? Only 9 weeks here, so ages to go, with horrible morning sickness and so tired I could cry. I work 3 days a week, and have an boisterous 18 month old DS, and a bouncy dog who needs a good amount of exercise, and all I want to do is sleep (or vomit!). Can't wait for the sickness to go and to start to feel a bit more human. Also can't wait for the scan, so I can relax a bit and also tell people - finding it hard keeping it to myself this time.

Pussycat - hope your baby is through the surgery, healthy and home with you as soon as possible.

Pussycatmomma... my son had the same condition, like you we found out at the 20 week scan, like you induced and he went into theatre at 12 hours old for keyhole surgery, then open heart surgery at 10 days old. Now a strong, busy, vibrant 22 month old. Feel welcome to pm me if you'd like any support, info, advice or a shoulder to cry on.

I think I spent the last 20 weeks of my pregnancy pretending it wasn't happening, terrified to build up an attachment with my baby, just in case.

Pregnant again now (8 weeks) and finding myself unable to enjoy it because I'm too nervous that something will be wrong with the baby again. I'm hoping we might get some early scans to determine no abnormalities (fingers crossed) so I can relax a bit...

So this is normal, then. No-one ever mentioned how fucking awful pregnancy is or maybe they did, but I didn't pay any attention, because it wasn't interesting to me until I got up the duff. I am struggling 24 hours sickness, generalised fluey feeling, exhaustion. I've lost myself a bit. If the second trimester isn't better than this, I don't know how I'm going to get through it. How do people do this again? Or while they have other children?

hats off to all the ladies going through this and looking after little ones at the same time. I'm 6+4 and feel knackered, constantly queasy and like I have a permanent hangover.

Currently in bed. I'm so lucky I can stay at home. At 31 weeks and I can't stay awake. But at night my legs are so restless I can't sleep properly. And I'm up six times to pee. It never feels like good sleep either when I am out so I don't feel rested. This baby is only going to get bigger too and old work colleagues told me yesterday I already looked ready to drop. Great. Can't wait for her to arrive.
