Fever/flu in early pregnancy - worried

My DS has developed flu symptoms today. I didn't think much of it in regards to me until I googled fever and pregnancy just now.

I'm six weeks pregnant and apparently fever is really bad in the first trimester, particularly early in the first trimester.

I've been kissing/cuddling my son all day. There is realistically little chance that I won't get it.

Can anyone reassure me about fevers in early pregnancy or offer advice on how to avoid coming down with it?!

I had a sinus infection with a very high temp two weeks ago when I was 7 weeks pg. I spoke to the GP over the phone and she told me to control it with paracetamol. I had to take paracetamol for 2 days but my the GP reassured me this was ok. I'm now 9 weeks and everything seems to be normal.

I got the flu when I found out we were expecting. I tried my best to keep cool, lots of fluids & only taking paracetamol when I really couldn't do without it - (you cant take nurofen when preg) also running cold water on insides of wrists is great for cooling you down. Im now 19wks and everything is going fine :)

Millions and squillions of people (myself included) have had fevers in early pregnancy and gone on to have very healthy pregnancies and babies. Paracetamol is very safe to take in pregnancy, so if you do come down with it, rest, fluids and paracetamol. Early pregnancy is pants, as there is do much potential for worry, but you'll be just fine :D

I had full on swine seasonal flu when i was heavily pregnant, it was when the media hype was full on, it was all fine, gp told me off for not going to see him for antibiotics straight away.
