How long did it take for period to come after mc

I had my 2nd mc on the 31st December and haven't have a period yet.
There is a chance I could be maybe a 1 week or 2 again but we've just found out our 2 year old is asd, so I'm putting off taking the test incase it's to early or positive due to all the emotions the last month I don't know how to handle it all.
I was just wondering is it possible to be pregnant and not have had a period after a mc or how long others took for theirs to return.

Hi babiecakes, I can't help but maybe try the conception board? There are lots of ladies over there who sadly have gone through mc, I'm sure they would be happy to share experiences with you.

There's a pregnancy loss section under "body and soul" where you would get the most responses I think - I got a lot of answers there when I had a miscarriage last year.

I had a mmc this time last year and it took 3 months for my period to return, but other people I have heard about had no period and got pregnant very quickly.
I got pregnant after my first period back and am waiting for my little one to arrive any day soon.

Sorry for your loss. When I miscarried at 8weeks it took around 6 weeks to return. After a further MC at 11 weeks it was around 8 weeks later. Good luck. X

I've had 2 mcs. After the first, I got very sporadic but more frequent bleeding (sometimes 10 days after when a 'period' had finished). GP said it was just my body readjusting. Took about 3 months to get into a more regular cycle. Then, after 2nd I conceived without having another period so it just depends I think how your body responds.

It took me 3 months to have my first period then another 2 months for my 2nd period. Then had a normal cycle and conceived and baby due any day now. It was horrible at the time waiting for my body to get back to normal but it can take time for some. Others fall pregnant before first period. Definitely visit the conception board. Good luck!

I had light bleeding for 3 weeks then a little heavier like a period for a few days then it stopped. My next period came the normal 35 days after that and I conceived again on that cycle.

I had my first perfiod after MC exactly a month after the very heavy bleeding/pain that took me to the A&E (although I bled for a further week or so).

When I had my scan to check everything was gone 2 weeks later the technician said I had ovulated. I guess we could have got pregnant then if we had decided to DTD but we were happy not to and I got my period two and a bit weeks later.

Mine was MMC though so hormone levels had been dropping for a while by the time I MC. I think you don't ovulate until your hormones are back down to pre-pregnancy levels? I think?

Having said that my following 2 periods were a not as regular as usual. One as earlier than I expected and the next a bit later body was clearly still readjusting as others have said.

I got pg straight after my mc and so never did have a period. It was a very early loss at only 6 weeks though, not sure if that makes a difference.

6 months - but I needed an ERPC after a MMC.

Def head over to the miscarriage board, I found it a massive help after MC. So sorry for your loss and best of luck.
