I had exactly the same thing plus lower abdomen pain. At 6 weeks. Apparently your body releases a hormone that softens all your ligaments and joints. Alongside this the placenta starts burrowing in to the uterus wall and that can cause pain too.
This is my first pregnancy too so i was panicked about it two weeks ago but that's what my midwife and research suggested. The only worry would be If u get shoulder pain too, if so its important to talk to ur
midwife.
Hope this helps and congratulations.
