Heartburn and hair!!!!

I've had loads of gagging, heaving and heartburn this preg, lots of people keep saying oh that means baby will be born with lots of hair!!!!! Is this a classic old wives tale or any truth?????

Load of rubbish!!

I never really got heartburn and both mine were born with lots of hair. My sister gulped gaviscon by the gallon and had baldy babies

Logically how can it even be possible? The baby is in a sac, the hair isn't touching your stomach.

I do love these old wives tales as seemingly sensible women are convinced by them when they're pregnant.

I had the worst heartburn and DS came out needing a haircut.

I had heartburn so bad I wanted to cry. DS was a wee baldy (except for a kiss curl at the front).

Worst heartburn this pg and dd had less hair than the previous 2 babies. So, utter rubbish IMHO!

im sure its utter bullshit. no science behind it whatsoever. i had terrible heartburn both pregnancies and ds1 was born with a full head of hair. i put that down to the same phenomenon as when a 42 weeks pregnant woman goes into labour after (delete as appropriate)a curry/sex/clary sage massage: coincidence.

my second son is due in a week. i hope he has hair, i love hairy babies!

Bad heartburn with last 2 and they had lots of dark hair.
Horrendous heartburn with this one so think she's going to come out looking like chew baca lol.
Better pack her some bobbles in the hospital bag.
But really it's a load of rubbish as my friend had it bad and her daughter was bald till she was 18 months old

I had heartburn but didn't suffer too badly because of it, baby was born with masses of hair. I think this is more down to both myself and her father also being born with full heads of hair though.

Rubbish!

I had the worst heartburn with DD and she was pretty much bald. Had heartburn but much less severe with DS and he has a lot more hair than she did, but still not an awful lot compared with other babies.

I had awful heartburn last time and dd was as bald as an egg till she was two! Not so bad this time.

I was on ranitidine as so bad and ds had no hair!!

Sympathies for the heartburn as im also suffering, however i think its an old wives tale lol

I had horrendous heartburn and DD had tons of hair. A friend(whose DD was born the same day funnily enough) also had terrible heartburn and her D was born totally bald. Sympathies for the heartburn, it's really nasty.

A load of rubbish, but I had dreadful heartburn and dd was born with masses of hair. All the midwives asked if I'd had bad heartburn, they all thought there was something in it.

Daft old wives tale much like the way your bump looks indicates the sex. Nonsense.

I had no heartburn, and a furry headed baby.

If that's the case I'm going to give birth or a hairy gorilla lol

With my second I was on the ranitidine for the last couple of months, it was more reflux than just heartburn. There were so many things I couldn't eat because it set it off. Everyone said hairy baby and I rolled my eyes.

He came out needing a haircut. So now I believe!

Had bad heartburn and dd has masses of hair. Whenever anyone sees her hair they ask me about heartburn!

She had those cute little hairy ears too.
