Congratulations.

At around that time I bought the bottle set from argos on a deal. We also bought a shed to store stuff in a reduce clutter in the house. That would be my major tip, declutter everything.

If you can borrow a Moses basket you just need to buy a mattress. Aldi have a baby event soon.

I would get a steriliser, stuff or your hospital bag, muslins bibs etc as you see them. Cot from ikea. We liked the changing mat from mamas and papas, the cheaper ones ripped.

Things like plain white gro's and cellular blankets little hats, mittens. Bath from ikea is great.

I worked my way round the baby events, asda and aldi seemed to have the best offers on. Personally I wouldn't buy bibs until later on. we did and now regretting it as so many outfits come with them that we now have 40+ bibs!
Is start with the big stuff and then work down in size as the little things tend to be given to you as gifts from friends and family. Wouldn't buy as much 0-3month clothing as that's what every one seems to go for as gifts also.
Have fun shopping!!!

Also another decluttering tip. Put cot up early and put anything you buy can go inside the cot
it was a lifesaver for us and then any bulky boxes can be piled up at side.

I'd recommend getting your nursery set up now. You can get any painting done and furniture set up while you're still mobile, and you will have somewhere to put baby things and enjoy! I love going and just looking at ours.

Aside from that, I started picking up boring essentials as I saw them on special - breast pads, nappies and whatnot. Yawn.

DM and MIL have hogged the buying of all the fun stuff, bears and blankets and tiny outfits Sad

...I know, I'm grateful really.

Ty :) all sorry for the late reply..I actually didn't know how to find my thread on my phone :/

I have just invested in the snuzpod plus eco mattress that is bleach free ect, pricey but I think it will be worth it as um breast feeding and you never know if you'll need a c section not that I have as if yet but it's brilliant for that if you do and lasts up to 6mths plus depending on babys size :)

I've covered all of the above but not a cot as of yet as I won't be needing I for a while...I think I'm pretty much done clothes wise she has so much just vests and sleep suits..

Ive gone into I need to have it all ready more as I don't fancy waddling around with 10 weeks to go plus with work..

We bought the pram early, but kept it in the box in the garage lol.

Have you thought about decorating your nursery yet? I've been planning mine for months and we are finally finished, just a couple of minor decorations to put up but thats it really. Keep your eyes open for bargains now, we managed to get some great deals.

If your really excited, you could always start on your hospital bag.

kjc27 · 30/01/2014 00:54

Hi snobble I know what I'm getting :) so that's no problem I just don't want to see it for ages lol I don't have a garage :/

Oh I wish I could do the nursery but due to this being unplanned and on the pill I only have a 3 bed and I'm looking to move as soon as I can but I'm trying not to stress over it..

I did look at a hospital bag I've found the one :) it's 100£ lol I think I'm going to do that at 24 weeks ;)
