28 weeks...just how is my bump so big??

Yes I'm obsessive but feel huge.

Tomorrow I'll be 28 weeks and have gained 1st 10lbs. My bump is MASSIVE like I've genuinely swallowed a ball. Growth scan today showed baby is 50th centile for everything, fluid normal etc so just how have I got such a huge huge bump?

Could just be the position. My bump is much higher this time.

What is your general body weight/shape? How strong are your tummy muscles? What number pg is this?

Bump is very low, scan today said baby is head down but she does cartwheels all the time. It's dc2. I'm 5'5 and pre pregnancy was 8st 4lbs, I'm 10 now if that's relevant? Everyone in the world just keeps commenting on my "humongous" bump ffs!

ha! I have gained that weight and im only 22 weeks!!

Baby was measuring prefect at scan and my bump is quite big but quite round and 'in front' im not worrying about it whilst he is measuring well, my boobs are now humongous as well and weigh loads!

2nd/subsequent pregnancies can result in larger bumps as tummy muscles have previously been stretched. You aren't particularly tall from what you say, so maybe it's just how you're carrying the baby?

And, your growth may slow down as the pg progresses. Any unwelcome comments can be met by saying 'I am growing an actual human being!'

Mine is huuuuge too. I'm carrying a boy this time so maybe there's something in that old wives tale about boy bumps being more out the front?!

I am the same, 28 weeks today and suddenly I feel massive! My bump feels very heavy all of a sudden! I have not weighed myself....... Too scared!

I try with varying degrees of success, not to worry about it!
