I'm 12 weeks pg and my scan yesterday was all OK, however my 20 month old DS keeps kneeing me firmly in his brother or sister! I don't think there's anything more I can be doing to stop him, but I get at least one uncomfortable, unexpected thump in the lower abdomen from him every day. I know DC2 is well protected in there and all, but I'd be grateful of reassurance that DS isn't on track to make sure he stays an only child...?

Thanks! Sorry for being paranoid. Sad

I was pummeled by my toddler whilst pregnant. Baby is very protected in there.

Poor DS2 (10mo old, teething, asleep on my lap right now) was the unluckiest baby in the womb.

I slept in bed with DS1 all through the pregnancy and he regularly kicked me in the belly quite hard. He jumped on me endlessly and I frequently carried him several miles a day right to the end of the pregnancy as he bounced on top of DS2's bump.

Oh and I fell downstairs at 25 weeks pregnant but luckily landed on my bum, bruising my whole nether regions but not remotely injuring DS2.

I think subsequent children have to be hardy. Grin

Yes - my DS's co-sleeping is a major source of thumpage, especially the 6am lunge-cum-body slam to get to his slippers on the end of the bed. Hmm
