Pelvic girdle pain

I am 17 weeks pregnant and for the last two weeks I have had a deep pain in my right buttock that has gradually got worse. At first I thought it was a pulled muscle but as it's getting worse (really sore getting up from bending down/ walking up stairs and now walking in general) i have been googling and it sounds like I may have pelvic girdle pain. Has anyone had experience of this? I have an appt with my GP tomorrow anyway so am going to ask him about it. I have no pain down my leg or the rest of the pelvis so not sure if it is this or not.

Hi, yes me! I had it with my 2nd late on and from approx 20 weeks with my 3rd. I was really quite bad, but mine I'm told was a rare case.
I had acupuncture on the NHS, crutches and a wheelchair the last few weeks, belts, on codeine for 18 weeks, and an elective section.
The pain was bad, but worth it. And mostly went straight away after, I was out of bed 8 hours after the section! My hip clicks when I'm... Busy ;) and if I'm sat awkwardly for long periods but other than I'm fine now... Although I've gotten my BFP tonight, so I'm thinking about all this again now.
Mine was a very bad case, and it took a lot of nagging to get me taken seriously about the amount of pain I was in. Please do not let people tell you it's nonsense and stand your ground. It's not a widely known condition. Research birthing with spd/ pgp because my 2nd birth made me worse for number 3
