Hello! I think this may be my first post on Mumsnet, so hello everyone.

I've already got 2 beautiful sons, aged 4 and 2.5, and this morning I got a BFP. Hubby is thrilled. I'm scared to death! I barely think I can cope with 2 children, nevermind 3. I'm so worried!

Congratulations! Totally normal to feel nervous but you'll be fine and I'm sure there'll be lots of people along so to tell you how having 3 is absolutely doable (I know quite a few mums with 4 and 5 kids and they are all great, just very organised!)

Thanks

Well, organised is what I do well (i'm a Virgo, I don't know how to be DISorganised!) But I do worry that having to spread my time across 3 of them means that they all lose out.

I would love to think that it will be a girl and bring me a completely new and different experience. But my instinct tells me I'm destined to have a house full of men!!

Congratulations Thanks. Although it is exciting news, you are entitled to a moment of panic too.

You are obviously already a fab mum as otherwise DH would not be so thrilled at the prospect of DC3 and once you have had a chance to get used to the idea, I am sure you will be thrilled too.

Ah, it will be lovely. I know lots of very lovely/happy 3 child families that are all one gender and in some ways it makes life easier. Mine are all at school now and the thought of a snuggly newborn again makes me feel a bit Envy Smile

Congratulations! 3 girls here under 5, number 4 expected in the spring. It's fabulous and you've got great age gaps too. Good luck and enjoy! Thanks

Congratulations! I'm 30 weeks with dc3 and we also have two boys who are 4 & 2.5! I'm both excited and nervous at the prospect of meeting our 3rd little one. Ds2 wasn't exactly the easiest of babies but at the same time he is such a fantastic little boy he was worth the tough times! We haven't found out the sex either but like you I suspect I'm destined to have a house full of boys.

Good luck with it all :)

Thanks everyone. It is slowly starting to sink in. The hardest part is not being able to share my news with everyone - especially my two boys who I know will be absolutely thrilled to bits at the prospect of having a baby brother/sister.

thecakeisalie: how do you find having 2 boys that age? I swear they're harder than girls! My 2 are little angels when they're at nursery or apart, but when they're at home together, I'm constantly shouting at them for one thing or another. Get them together and they're like the Kray twins!
