Hiya I'm 13+2 weeks with my 2nd & am really struggling. Iv had nausea for 7 weeks every minute of every day, + bouts of actual sickness, I'm hating dinner Confusedtime, the only food I can tolerate is bread & cheese which I'm sick of, the look & smell of veg kills me, my hips are sore, insomnia has kicked In this week & now heartburn Is on the way!

I had the easiest pregnancy with DS - 21 months but this one is killing me.
I'm so ill all the time & don't know how I'm going to carry on like this until 40 weeks.

This is just a thread to have a moan really Hmm

With you. 15 + 5 and today have been in A&E with a perforated eardrum. This is after 10 weeks of nausea and sickness. Have barely eaten a proper meal in all that time. I feel disgusting. It's miserable!

I sympathize. My pregnancy with DC2 was just rubbish (and DC1 had been bad enough). Sickness, exhaustion, SPD etc and then OC right at the end to put the tin hat on it. I'm not very good at being pregnant!

On the sickness front, I found sherbet lemons helped a bit. I also ate a lot of cheese sarnies Grin. Hopefully it'll cease for you soon.

Re heartburn, go see your GP. I got prescribed industrial strength Gaviscon which really helped.

Hang in there!

Awww dizzy how did you do that to your ear? I did it as a child it's horrible, hope you recover quickly.

it's horrible having a crappy pregnancy, people keep asking if im excited or over the moon etc - TBH I feel nothing but horrendous at the moment, I'm too sick too feel excitedBlush

If I had a pregnancy like this with DS I think he would have remained an only child!!!

I feel terrible too!! I'm 8+5 and had awful morning sickness and constant bouts of the flu! I now have strep throat and got given penicillin yesterday by the emergency doctor! All I do is lay around while dp entertains dd1!! Feel like I'm being a bad mum because I don't have the energy to do anything with dd!!
Hope I start feeling better in the 2nd trimester! Hmm

may i join the club? 20 weeks - was sick until 14/15 weeks, then it went, and now it's coming back! Add to that an itchy rash on the back of my legs that i've had for more than a week now. Gosh, pregnancy sucks! Particularly compared to the first time round, which i remember with exceptionally rose-tinted glasses!

MissSlackPants84 · 19/01/2014 16:40

Sound like I need membership to this club. 14+2 and sick of being sick!!! I cant keep food down, I keep falling asleep at work, I've got stupidly sore knockers and vile tummy cramps. I thought I was supposed to be glowing and not looking like an upset hippo?!

I just keep trying to remember what's at the finish line....

Vespar7 · 19/01/2014 17:38

Can I join too? 12+6 and feeling miserable. Been feeling sick for about 7 weeks solid now. I actually forget I'm pregnant and just feel ill. I find that feeling really sorry for myself helps though!

Inglori0us · 19/01/2014 17:51

I could've written your post OP. I feel for you! I had sickness until 19 weeks, it was bleak.

Now at 28 weeks and feeling ok. I'm using a hypnotherapy mp3 which really helps me to sleep. My hips are much better now too.
Just need get through it the best you can. It'll be worth it in the end. x
