I am 21 weeks and have had my 20 week scan but wasnt told what baby measures or weighs. I wondered whether I would get measured and told how baby is measuring and what he weighs as to how far along i am. Does anyone know?

The midwife will start to measure your bump from your pelvis to the top of your uterus. They're looking for it to be approximately 1cm for every week of pregnancy i.e. 21cm at 21 weeks. You won't be offered growth scans unless it deviates substantially from that. At lasted appointments they also have a good feel of baby to check presentation (I.e. head down etc) and some midwives have commented on baby's size after that.

Thanks YoMamma, when do they start doing this? My next appointment is at 25 weeks with the GP then at 28 weeks with the midwife...

I think the midwife will probably measure your bump at your next appointment. I have never had a GP do one of my antenatal appointments so I'm not sure whether they will do the same.
