Why, why did I decide to do another test tonight?

I did 2 tests last Friday and both came back positive very quickly (one cheap one and one digital one) saying pregnant 1-2weeks

I have been feeling rough (cramps, tired...) for the past few days but no bleeding at all, and tonight decided (not sure why) to test again and it came back negative.

Did this happen to anyone and there were still pregnant?

I am thinking that I shouldn't have tested in the evening after having quite a lot of water but I still worry that something went wrong :(

I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago, how many weeks do u think u are? x

BabieThePicess · 16/01/2014 22:23

To be honest, I have no idea, first day of my last period was 28/12/13 and but the test was positive on the 10/01/14,

So it seems like I should be 3 weeks?

But not relying to much on period dates as it was only 2nd one since dd was born in 2011

I would retest in the morning and fx it's positive! If it's not I would go to the docs as they can do bloods to check hcg are rising. Must be horrible waiting and worrying, good luck Thanks

Pregnancy tests are hardly ever positive unless you're pregnant, so it's far more likely that you are than are not.

If you can bear to, wait a week before retesting. In the real world, wait a couple of days then test first thing in the morning.

Good luck.

For now I would 'be pregnant' because if you did the third test in the evening after a lot of water (I think I read that right?) and your only a few week pregnant then it's probably diluted the results.. Go to the docs, they can test you and see what's going on!!

Drinking a lot of water before a test can dilute hcg too much to show up. And at such an early time, false negatives are common. It's extremely rare to get a false positive. Test in the morning, those results are most accurate.

Good luck. Thanks
