I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have had no symptoms at all yet! Been to docs and midwife and none confirmed my pregnancy, just taken my word for it from home pregnancy tests (5, 3 neg and 2 positive)

Concerned first time mammy to be!

I know it's worrying when you don't have symptoms and weird when no one confirms your pregnancy. If it helps I had similar, morning sickness didn't really kick in till about 8 weeks and it's still here at 16 weeks and I wish it would go away!

Talking to other people I know some people don't have any symptoms and others are sick all the way through.

Yama · 13/01/2014 21:28

I never had a day's sickness in either of my pregnancies. Try not to worry, you will feel pregnant soon enough.

ShoeWhore · 13/01/2014 21:30

Morning sickness only started at 8 weeks ish and then ramped up at 10 weeks for me. I remember thinking I should have been more careful what I wished for Grin

Except with dc3, when I got off scott free - no morning sickness at all.

I remember feeling quite surprised that everyone would just take my word for it - but HPTs are very accurate. You can't get a line without pg hormones!

No pregnancy is the same. Symptoms don't confirm a positive or negative outcome. It's just a waiting game until the scan. The odds are in your favour that everything will be fine :)

I never got it either and it was unnerving, although I was a bit glad because we went on a backpacking holiday between weeks 11 and 14 and I didn't need to be puking my way across a foreign country. Every pregnancy is different, so I hope you're not worrying too much.

willyoulistentome · 13/01/2014 21:36

I didn't get any morning sickness with my first. Sick as a dog with number two though. Dr's took my word for pregnancy too. I thought there would be some better Dr's testing kit. Nope! She said the ones you buy off the shelf were all they would use too.

Beamur · 13/01/2014 21:38

No morning sickness for me either. In fact very few 'symptoms' apart from no period and sensitive boobs, and that was about it.

FlossyCat · 13/01/2014 21:41

I never had morning sickness, felt more tired in first trimester but that was it. I could never understand before how people could not know they were pregnant, but it was only really having the scans that made it real. If you're really worried and can afford it you could book in for a private scan. Some women don't have any symptoms :)

nevergoogle · 13/01/2014 21:42

I had no sickness until 10 weeks.

It's still here at 27 weeks, I'm unable to work and have to take anti-emetics to be able to eat at all.

There's still time Smile

Sweetart · 13/01/2014 21:45

I had no morning sickness with 2 DC's. With DS2,I had no clue that I was pg for 3 months, until I was measured for a dress, and had put on 3 inches round my waist. No worries Smile

TransatlanticCityGirl · 13/01/2014 21:57

Count yourself lucky. I had no morning sickness with DS and only 1 instance with DD.

Firstbabaonway · 13/01/2014 21:58

Thanks ladies, I feel a lot better now! I guess I should enjoy getting off Scott free for the time being!! Roll on 4 weeks for first scan.

Mine has started, fairly mildly in the past couple of days and I'm 9 and a half weeks now. I feel like I have dodged a bit of a bullet as a close friend has HG and can't even get up some days!

nevergoogle · 28/01/2014 14:03

you have my sympathy firstbabyonway. i started a similar thread before 10 weeks and wham it hit me. 29 weeks and still grim. looks like i'm stuck with it. hope you feel better soon. if not, go and see your GP.

Redling · 28/01/2014 19:26

It is weird that the Dr just accepts your pregnancy, I swear my Mam isn't entirely believing I'm pregnant without a Dr test (I'm 1 week from 1st scan). I started being sick at 6 weeks but have stopped mostly at 11, so it was a bit early for me. My Mother in Law was telling me she didn't get sick at all with 4 pregnancies (not a help when I was throwing up Xmas dinner). Be happy, it sucks to be sick.

whoneedsleepmum · 28/01/2014 19:34
