Hey the bottles I've got sterilize in the microwave

Not to sure about this tho as apparently I've read it's bad for you microwaving plastic cartons and stuff and it can cause cancer

What do you think about this xxx

I have also heard that but don't believe there's any evidence to back it up. However there are other ways to sterilise bottles. I've bought a cold water steriliser as that was recommended by a friend.

should be fine if your bottles are free from BPA I think they call it

Ahh okay thankyou I'm planning on breast feeding but got a few bottles and a pump (hopefully the Dh can do a few night feeds)

The bottles are ment to be for microwaves so will probably be free from that haha..

I've turned a bit funny in pregnancy like I'm thinking microwaves are dangerous and I don't want to do anything that could cause cancer or whatever.. Even though I'm still using it for me.

Just told Dh dishwasher works too I'll just stick a sterilizing tablet in in stead of a washing tablet xxxx

Hang on- that last bit about putting a sterilising tablet in the dishwasher was a joke, right?

Right?

I personally wouldn't use microwave for anything for baby. It's not just about BPAs being released but all the free radicals sent out by the microwaves. Just buy steam steriliser and never warm up baby food in microwave either.

There are plenty of suggestions that microwaves are a possible health risk. If there is an alternative, why would I expose my baby?

Lol god no don't do the dishwasher thing!!

I've used a microwave steriliser a couple of times. I wouldn't use one as a permanent option. I had no choice at the time though, I was bf but fell ill which made my dd ill so was advised to switch to formula and was staying with family so had to go and buy a microwave one. My dd was fine with that one though
