6 weeks preg - how did you feel

I'm 6 weeks with dc 2 and can't really remember this stage.

I'm not feeling sick which worries me a bit.

I'm also knackered but am not sure if I'm just imaging that and milking the situation for a rest. (Dh and I both work and have a toddler and competitive tiredness is our number one shared interests.)

I really have no memory of this stage and can't think when things kicked in before.

I think the main problem is I just don't feel pregnant - I know that makes no sense.

I am 6w+4 and for the past couple of days nausea has really worsened + sore boobs, constipation, food aversion... but a lot of women in antenatal club have almost no symptoms....xx

Mabelandrose · 10/01/2014 13:59

Tired bit still the same! No real symptoms

firstbaby01 · 10/01/2014 17:06

when i was 6 weeks i had no symptoms at all apart from soreish boobs. at 9 weeks the sickness, tiredness, constipation, mood swings and every other symptom hit and is only just starting to get better now at 13 weeks.

eurochick · 10/01/2014 17:09

I'm 7 weeks now and have pretty much no symptoms. My boobs were very sore to start with but that has eased now (although they have gone up a size). I've had some feelings of not really fancying any food, but no nausea. I was very tired for a few days to begin with but have plenty of energy now. If I hadn't had an early scan I would swear the bloating I have was just too many mince pies.

Jenologist · 10/01/2014 17:14

Um, think I was feeling pretty good and was deciding pregnancy was easy!! Coffee tasted odd, but that was the only real symptom. About a week later the nausea, tender boobs and tiredness kicked in. Now 21 + 4 and feeling fab again!

Hubbythecatandme · 10/01/2014 17:18

Up to this week, I too had decided pregnancy felt wonderful lol now I am just praying for no more nausea :(

AnnaBanana25 · 10/01/2014 17:32

At 6 weeks I had a scan, so remember feeling totally exhausted and nauseous only every now and then. Otherwise fine!

lizziekal · 10/01/2014 17:47

Bloody awful. Still feeling rubbish at 27 weeks. Don't think I'm made for pregnancy.

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 10/01/2014 17:56

different each time.

was sick as a dog with DS3 at 5 weeks, nausea only started around 6-8 weeks with others.

I only ever feel I'm really pg when my belly starts getting bigger and "harder" so around 4 months and properly pg when baby starts kicking!
Congratulations and good luck!

Hubbythecatandme · 10/01/2014 18:16

lizziekal you made this laugh haha!!!
This looking and feeling wonderful and fulfilled during pregnancy is propaganda I say!
I am constipated, I have to get up to pee 3 times a night, I have spots, I feel hungover all day, my boobs have massive blue veins around it and I am pretty sure I am developing hemoroids :s

wispaxmas · 10/01/2014 18:39

I didn't feel pregnant! I still barely feel pregnant at 19 weeks!

TransatlanticCityGirl · 10/01/2014 21:01

The only sign of pregnancy I had at 6 weeks was no period and a positive pregnancy test. Felt slightly nauseous after 7 weeks.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 10/01/2014 21:11

I am also 6 weeks with no.2

I don't think i knew this early last time so wasn't symptom spotting. I'm knackered. Like a truck hit me. I am shattered by the time i even get to work!

Feels just as surreal as last time. There's a baby in there? Really?

zara83 · 10/01/2014 21:41

I'm 6 weeks with my second. With my first I found out at 4 weeks and nausea kicked in straight away along with the tiredness sore boobs the works. I don't have any of that yet (thank god) maybe it's because I'm so busy with my 9 month or could it be different because this ones a girl hehe I'll have to wait and see x

sksk · 10/01/2014 21:51

That was when my insomnia kicked in! I started to expand too- ribcage and shoulder areas- nobody tells you that will happen, especially at the early stage. I felt exhausted and although I didn't get sickness, I had nausea and started craving tomatoes! I went off coffee and briefly went off tea also. Oh, and I really liked sour things. My sense of smell became even stronger at this stage, I think. I am currently sleep deprived with my baby so have every sympathy if you are utterly exhausted, especially if you have a toddler. Don't worry if you're not feeling sick- every pregnancy is different and some women don't feel sick at all.
Good luck!

MamaMolho · 10/01/2014 22:13

I felt like shit. Nausea all day and knackered and almost asleep at my desk at 2pm everyday. Felt so much better once I got to 11 weeks and felt great until the heartburn kicked in at the end.

lj123 · 11/01/2014 08:51

I am currently 8 weeks and had a scan at 6weeks showing heartbeat etc I only have slightly sore boobs and cramping on an off that's it!
I understand your paranoid because even I'm wondering if there's still something there!
I'm actually hoping I can start throwing up and second just to reassure myself lol x

hubbahubster · 11/01/2014 09:05

With DC2 (currently 19 weeks), about the same as you, right down to competitive tiredness with DH). I'd had stronger symptoms with DC1 - food aversions, big swollen boobs - so was a bit concerned this time. So far so good though. Once I got to about 14 weeks I felt 'better' and realised I must have been having symptoms after all!

munchkinmaster · 12/01/2014 14:43

Thanks all. Feel shaky and shit today. Had to pull car over yesterday as falling asleep at wheel. Think this is not my imagination!

At six weeks I was tired, had loads of cramping/pressure, excess cm and agonising boobs. I am now 8+5 and nausea has just kicked in over the last week. Still got painful boobs, not very tired, no constipation.

Thewhingingdefective · 12/01/2014 15:35

I felt queasy if I got too hungry. I also felt dead on my feet and had faint, dizzy spells a lot.

lj123 · 12/01/2014 17:44

I do believe at currently 8weeks 2days my sickness is hitting in, last night I was eating spaghetti hoops on toast and had to stop after the overwhelming urge to be sick! I wasn't sick but that will do me nicely Grin:)

babytinks89 · 12/01/2014 20:13

when I was 6 weeks I just felt really tired. never had sickness.. but always felt when I was laying in bed my legs would go to sleep and get quite stiff, always had to stand up and jump about to get the feeling back...
I miscarried 4 weeks after though :( but we are trying again! so I have all this to look forward too! wish me luckkkkk Blush

munchkinmaster · 12/01/2014 21:03

Good luck baby tinks, fingers crossed
