Yes our trousers are too tight, our hips are disintegrating, we have severe pram angst and we havent poo'd for weeks but there must be one thing that we are enjoying/ looking forward to... Isn't there?

The gloomy threads are scaring the newbies!

Tell me one (or more) good thing(s) about your pregnancy....Please?!

We painted the nursery last weekend and all our furniture is arriving in 3 days. I keep looking at the nursery, I just stand there smiling at the blue walks and I am just overcome with happiness about a baby being on the way. I've had a really shit pregnancy but those blue walls make everything worthwhile Smile

SaucyJack · 07/01/2014 11:56

I'm gonna have a baby with a man I love!

I'm tearing up even typing it. Cannot wait to hold our baby girl.

LastOneDancing · 07/01/2014 11:57

I love enjoying the nursery too writer!

Ours is only a cream box with a few bits of furniture, but I keep sneaking in just to look at the few tiny sleep suits on hangers Smile

I can't wait for that moment we have our little baby!

I actually am excited to see what labour has in store for me, bring it on!

I love putting me and the bump first, it means if I'm ill I don't feel guilty taking it easy. It means taking time to do things I enjoy and many exciting talks with my husband.

Oh and no periods, lots of shopping, friends and family all happy and excited.... Yaaaay!!!

mrsmugoo · 07/01/2014 12:41

I'm having a baby!

Don't care about the aches and pains one little bit.

greentshirt · 07/01/2014 13:24

I'm really looking forward to seeing lovely gorgeous fat little new baby in a nice white babygrow (don't destroy my pristine white babygrow dreams please girls) asleep on my DHs chest (again, no destruction of my sleep dream either)

It's an image that keeps popping into my head and making me smile like a loon. Can't wait for our unit of 2 to become a little family of 3!!

Awwww Greentshirt... Sniffle!

One of my big surprises is how great DH is being. He's always been fab, but he really has suddenly developed the power to say the right thing (shocker!). Makes me feel very loved.

Seeing my oh smiling at my bump and feeling special because my baby is wriggling in my belly, and my dog curling up to sleep next to the bump because she can hear baby's heart beat!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/01/2014 23:13

We are getting a very special, much loved baby. Smile
I can feel her moving all the time. It is absolutely amazing. Smile
Everyone is being wonderful. I walk along the market at work and everyone has to rub my bump. She's the market baby. Smile

FlossyCat · 07/01/2014 23:14

DH responsible for cleaning our cats litter tray.
Having something in common to chat about with most women and strangers.
Feeling a wriggly baby growing inside me that we have waited a long time for and will hopefully get to meet in the next week :)
Eating what I like without feeling guilty.

Good thread x

Love this thread.
I'll add 9 months of never being alone, DP spontaneously wrapping me in a blanket if I'm having a little couch nap, and knowing that at some point in the future I'll answer the phone and the voice at the other end will say "Hi mum".

ClearlyMoo · 08/01/2014 06:35

People smiling when they see my growing bump!

Prospective Grandparents excitement and anticipation.

The fact that DH and I never really believed we'd find someone to marry, let alone believe we'd be blessed with a family!

A whole new wardrobe with excitingly comfortable stretchy jeans!

Overwhelmed by generosity of people wanting to give us and lend us baby stuff.

The fact that cos DH works at home, I'll get to see him lots more in the year ahead!

Baby kicking when I'm at my desk at work. Bizarre and amazing!!

Lovely thread. Well done xxx

I am just the luckiest girl in the world. Waited over 2 years for this bfp and I can't even remember what it feels like to be dissapointed. Eveything in my life feels ok, even the overdue bills!

I get up when my alarm goes off rather than pressing snooze to the last minute. I feel so motivated and fulfilled knowing I'm going to be a mum. Keep buying little tiny things ready for LO and looking at them whenever I get ovwrwhelmed with excitement.

Actually looking forward to experiencing giving birth too.

OH is also cleaning the litter tray.

BakeOff · 08/01/2014 09:37

I can sit on the sofa with my cake plate balanced on my bump. So I can hold my tea in one hand and MN on my phone in the other and I don't have to move to take another bite of Christmas cake. It's ace.

highlove · 08/01/2014 09:44

I'm having a baby. It took three years, fertility treatment and lots of disappointments to get this far. I'd lost hope we ever would. So that's enough. (But also, I love DH smiling adoringly at my bump and generally looking after me.)

LastOneDancing · 08/01/2014 22:28

These replies are all so lovely - and so many things to look forward to I hadn't even considered.

And yy - no litter tray duty (or clearing up dead animal bits either) is a lovely perk Smile
