Hi

I am really worried as today I have had quite a lot of thin, clear watery discharge in my knickers. I've had lots of discharge on and off throughout my preg but I haven't had this much before. I'm just panicking that it might be amniotic fluid and I am only 22 weeks. Sorry if tmi but it doesn't smell (thought it might be wee) of anything, just leaves a wet patch in my knickers. Not enough to soak a pad or anything but enough to be noticeable and to feel a bit wet.

I think I may have thrush or BV as am very itchy down below so could the discharge be related to that? I am seeing mw on Wednesday am so plan on asking her to give me a swab to check for infection.

I don't have any cramps, I did have 2 braxton hicks over the wkend but nothing else. Does this dischrage sound normal or something more serious?

Thanks!

Sounds like normal mid-pregnancy discharge to be honest, but if you're concerned then ring the midwife and ask for advice :)

Sounds totally normal I'm 18 wks and my discharge sounds similar!

phew, ok thank you both. panic over! first pregnancy and I feel like a total hypocondriac (sp?) all the time at the moment!! I will mention it to the mw still but glad to hear it sounds relatively normal :)

I had that too - one minute you're in dry pants and the next they're wet Smile My watery discharge started at about 18 weeks. I started using panty liners every day and 10 weeks later things are still the same Smile
