40 +3 and sick of waiting!!

Hi, just need to have a good old moan, really sick of waiting and being in pain :-(
Anyone else in same situation?? I feel like im really close but so far away lol!! I was induced with my first at 40+3 as my waters had gone and had GBS.. Was hoping to have popped by now as baby is hugggggeee lol
Have a sweep booked in on thursday im hoping that gets things moving but by reading things on here they dont seem to have good reviews as such??

Me! I feel your pain

40 weeks on Thursday and desperate to meet LO. I have developed horrid upper back / rib pain over the last few days (despite being told at last 2 mw appointments that baby is engaged - is baby now un-engaged?!). Feeling very uncomfortable and struggling to sleep. This is my first and I feel like I'm just waiting now - trying to keep busy to distract myself. Have a s&s booked for Thursday so we shall see what happens. Also trying 'traditional' methods too.

I'm 40+4 and not sure if I'm desperate to give birth or desperate not to! She'll be my first and although I think I'm all prepared it just seems so weird that any minute now I could go into labour and be a mum by the morning. Everyone thinks they're being really helpful by saying 'not long now' or suggesting I have a curry...

Not physically feeling too bad, but mentally....EEEEEEKKKKK!!!

Yes. 40+1 with DC2. Can't wait to get on with it. I'm completely overanalysing every ache and pain but no concrete signs.

I'm 40+1 and totally fed up and impatient. M/w tried a sweep today but couldn't get her finger in enough. Having some pain but not contractions.
DS was born at 37+6 so now this is torture lol x

I'm 40+2 with DC2 and utterly fed up. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life.

I've got SPD, everything gives me heartburn, my bump is rock hard all the time and I feel like I've got a bowling ball in my fanjo. Don't even get me started on everyone I know my friends and family, and their bloody NYE jollity.

DS was induced at 40+12 so am not hopeful I'll go anytime soon. I have a sweep booked on the 3rd but I had one last time and it did bugger all.

Yup, 40+3 here too. If one more person sends me a bloody message I will scream. A few niggles but being my first I have no idea. Midwife won't do sweep until Sunday and then they do them every day until 42 weeks (they come to my house so at least that's a bonus) raspberry leaf tea tastes like twigs, weather is shite, and there's nothing on tv...... Moan over!

Still sat here waiting! Guna bounce on my ball and hope for something to kick start! My sweep is tomorrow... So nice to hear from all you ladies and sending birthing vibes you way! Will keep you all updated on my sweep tomorrow- fingers crossed it works!

Hi all.. Didn't manage to get sweep as waters went spontaneously at 4.50am on 2/1/14 after a hot bath and a bounce on my ball! Baby lofo was born at 8.52am weighing 8lb 5oz! We are doing very well I am pleased to say just up doing night feed :-) we were home by 4pm too

I take it all back about sweeps - went into hospital for reduced movement on late New Year's Day, all fine but midwife gave me a sweep seen as I was there, and I went into labour the following day. DS2 born yesterday, 7lb 6oz
