Baby number 4 so I should know what to expect but can't remember what it was like with the others. I've had hardly any Braxton hicks before now but since yesterday afternoon been getting them all day long and they are painful. It most definitely doesn't feel like the big contractions from when I was in labour but I'm confused as to why they have suddenly started and seem to be non stop. I also have a kind of dull ache in my tum and can't stop thinking about it. I've had 3 whilst writing this post, each about 30 seconds of real tightness.

I had this around 29 weeks but not as often as you're getting them.
Could you be dehydrated? I find that when I don't drink enough I get more BH.
I think the general advice is to call your midwife or triage if you experience more than 4 in an hour, could be wrong though! Just give them a call and see what they say.
Also lots of people said to me 'oh your BH shouldn't be painful'. Well they are, and other people have agreed with me that theirs were painful too.

I get contractions like these if I am too active. My doctor said not to worry unless they come at regular intervals for 1-2 hours. That said, it can't hurt to get checked out.
