I'm 35 +3. Baby still breech. I cant believe she won't turn so a c/s isnt something I've thought about too much.

I've got an appointment at the hospital on 6/1. Dreading it but hopeful if I agreed to ECV i could have my hb?

Anyone have any positive experience of ECV? What sort of birth did you end up having?

Tia!

I had a successful ECV on Tuesday at exactly 38 weeks. But he has been moving round since, so I am being induced on Sunday. There is a 50% chance ECV is successful on a breech baby, less than 50% chance on a transverse baby. I never planned for a home birth but I know I wouldn't be allowed it due to how unreliable this baby is! I'm told to go straight to hospital if labour starts. I think at 35 weeks you still have some chance of him turning though :)

Thanks Alice. It sort of hit me today that I'm running out of time for her to turn.

If I get too much resistance regarding a hb I won't risk an ECV as labouring in a hospital on a monitor is my ultimate nightmare.

She used to move from breech to transverse but not in about a week. I'm worried she's running out of room...

You never know she may turn again! Try things like scrubbing the floor and leaning forwards all the time rather than lying back. If you had an ECV you wouldn't be monitered during labour and I know I was told I could still have a water birth at the start. The concern with me is that he is continuing to turn and therefore they just want him out whilst he is in the right position. They are doing everything possible to make sure I don't have a c-sec.
But I'd say you still have hope for a home birth :) I imagine at 37/38 weeks you'll have a scan. Good luck! :)

Me. Me. I did!
Found out quite late on that she was breach so I think she was turned at 38 weeks or something daft. Lovely successful home birth at 41 weeks.

I haven't but my friend has. Had an ECV and had a lovely HB. Good luck!

Thankyou for the replies.

I've been doing the stuff on The Spinning Babies website since 32 weeks. Will be going to see an alternative therapist this week.

I've got a hospital appointment 6/1 so ideally I'd like her to turn before then but as long as she turns before i go into labour!
