OK, I know that this Christmas there is going to be a lot of pork pie and things like scotch eggs on offer. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that they are not, especially if they are pre-packed, but does anyone know if there is any risk attached to eating pork pie? I know it sounds like a STUPID question, but I'm being so careful and don't want to eat anything and them have to worry about it... I think I'm 'having a moment' ... but would really appreciate reassurance/info. Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!! X

I'be never heard of any risk for them. Have you checked the nhs website with all the pregnancy food info on it?

I think you're just having a moment. I've enjoyed pork pies guilt free this pregnancy.

nothing on nhs website about pork pie in any shape or form! so you r good to go!

l love pork pie and fed baby quite a lot in the first few weeks!

I wouldn't eat it if it had been sat out for a few days but I wouldn't if I wasn't pregnant!

Pork pies are fineGrin
Infact I expect this baby to come out with a stamp on her bum saying 80 percent pork,20 percent pastry Smile

Oh can't beat a good pork pie I haven't heard any thing in fact I'd be very emotional if they said we couldn't eat then I've already had to do without pate this year

Yayyyy! Well thank you ladies for your comments. It just gives me that extra bit or reassurance, so I will scoff away this Christmas as normal! Lol. Merry Christmas!!! X :-)

Pork pie has a proven rate of severe fatalities........ but AFAIA this only affects the poor pigs.
