Pregnancy weight loss and gain

Hi all, just wanted to see what people's views on weight during pregnancy are. I'm fairly petite anyway, for many years I've weighed around the 55kg mark. Since I've been pregnant(11wks today) I've been losing weight, not on purpose though so I'm a little worried. Obviously the morning sickness didn't help but over the last week or so I'm getting over that and have been eating more or less like I used to. I don't seem to be gaining weight though. I never actually threw up with morning sickness but appetite went. Anyway, had my weigh in at my booking appointment and I was 52kg so losing 3kg over a few weeks was normal apparently. Well I'm 11 weeks now and I weighed myself yesterday afternoon, 52.4kg but first thing this morning I'm 50.4kg! Is this a significant weight loss? I ate loads yesterday so I was a bit miffed at the scales' reading. Over the last couple of weeks I've started to get a bit of a bump too so I guess that was reassuring, something is growing in there! I'm just getting concerned for next weeks scan now with the weight loss

Aww you should probably phone your midwife to put your mind at rest? I was 50kg when I found out at 6 weeks and spent a long time paranoid about my lack of weight gain (apart from an initial few kgs after giving up smoking and drinking) especially with people commenting to me how small I was but my doctors and midwives were never concerned - until recently, I did get sent for a growth scan the other day as the bump and me are still quite small at 36 weeks but everything is fine and he was estimated at 5lbs. So I wouldn't worry too much, we're all different. I have friends at 14 weeks that are the same size as me now!! And now I weigh 62kgs, still feel light on my feet and can still wear a lot of my wardrobe but am happy knowing the baby is perfectly healthy. Good luck :)
