Hi, I recently found out I'm pregnant, (6 weeks +1). We have been TTC for two years and recently I gave up as I thought it was too late. :) This is my 5th pregnancy but my youngest is 7 already so it's been a while ( oldest 16). I am hoping to meet other mums and swap news.

Congratulations! Great news after TTC after 2 years. And you are not too old! Three ladies in my NCT group are over 40, and all 3 have just had their healthy babies. They are thrilled and doing really well

Congratulations!

If you want to chat to other 40+ pregnant women, I suggest you have a look at this thread which is where they hang out.

Hi again, thanks to all your lovely messages I'm feeling much better. (grin)
Strong coffee I just can't believe you didn't realise you were pregnant till 24 weeks! No morning sickness then? (wink), you lucky thing! I never had it so bad.
And 'dirtydancing' thanks for encouragement. I should explain, my dog recently gave birth to 6 pups but as she didn't have much milk I've spent past 3 weeks hand rearing them with bottles every 3/4 hours (now they are bigger they often have 3 bottles each for every feed). It's been exhausting as I look after my 4 kids and my husband has been working overseas for the past couple of weeks now. With the all day morning sickness it's been a struggle and I guess I've been worried I won't have the energy. But then again, I suppose my morning sickness won't last...
Meditrina, thanks for the link, I will look at it tonight and Shelly congratulations! Six, wow I thought I had my hands full but I guess if your eldest is 24 then maybe they aren't all still living at home? I always thought my four children meant I had a large family, still, always more room in our hearts though. :)

I have a 1 yr old and am 42 !!! It all comes flooding back and I had a 14 year age gap !!
The worse thing I have found is feeling so old compared to other mums round here. They all seem to have their babies young and I am virtually granny aged.
Always have plenty of offers for babysitting as all my friends children are well into their teens or left home.
Enjoy x
