Am I pregnant?

I am on the 5th day that my period hasn't showed up for. My breasts are also extremely tender but I know this can also be a sign of a period being due, I've had it before but never this bad. I also usually get cramps but this month all I have had were slight twinges last week and then nothing.

I did a pregnancy test yesterday morning but it came back negative.

I have no clue what is going on with my body :S

If you still haven't had your period by tomorrow then do another test

BecciBurt · 16/12/2013 10:29

Think I will need to snoozy, I am absolutely terrified at the prospect of being pregnant

Is there any chance you could be? Any contraceptive failure for example?

BecciBurt · 16/12/2013 10:32

My partner and I don't use contraceptives so yes, there is a chance I might be

Well would being pregnant be a good thing? If not, at the risk of sounding like your mum, you need to start using contraception.

BecciBurt · 16/12/2013 11:31

Pregnancy would be a good thing, we haven't been trying to get pregnant but if it happened then we would be happy.

Obviously it would take some getting used too haha

In that case good luck Smile

Let us know how it goes!

Also, since yesterday about 3 times while I've been wiping after the toilet, there has been very small amounts of brown dischargey/blood. Like the stuff we get at the end of a period but a lot less?

How regular are your periods normally? When we were trying to conceive and I actually started to pay close attention to my cycles, I found that in addition to there regularly being 1-2 days difference in the length of my normal cycle there were some months when my cycle was inexplicably about 5-6 days longer than normal, usually accompanied by a little brown spotting and mild twinges like you describe.

When I finally got pregnant it was after a run of four months where my period was so regular you could set your watch by it, and I got a positive test result when it was only a couple of hours "late".

Elephantastic · 17/12/2013 07:36

My periods are usually regular as clockwork. My cycle is exactly 30 and doesn't really change

Elephantastic · 17/12/2013 13:20

Also, round about when I'm due I find sex usually gets my period going so to speak but its doing nothing this month.

God I wish those pregnancy tests woukd hurry up in the post, totally can't afford to go buy more at the shops as spent all my money on presents!

Xx

About 2-3ish I had a bit of brown blood, because it was more than the last time thought I was starting my period so put a tampon in but just took it out and was no blood...so I haven't started my period...em? Body what are you doing?! Hopefully tests should be here tomorrow so I can do one!

Elephantastic · 18/12/2013 17:21

I'm not pregnant, my period arrived while I was sleeping last night.

This has made me realise that I do want to TTC though - I hope everyone's pregnancies go smoothly
