Hi all

Any advice would be good.

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and from about 5 weeks have been suffering. Sickness, fatigue, general illness, migraine.

Been feeling very ill tonight. Migraine, bladder pain (although this has been ongoing and no UTI has been detected since 5 weeks), abdominal "fullness", achy and at times numb feed and shins. Hot and thirsty but I don't seem to have a fever.

Feel like shit. Do I leave it til the morning and go to the walk in or does this sound more serious and need casualty now? I'd rather avoid casualty cos it will be insane now.

Any advice appreciated.

I suggest calling NHS direct. Hope you feel better soon.

Do you have a fever? Any discharge - brown staining?

The first trimester can make you feel pretty shitty. Sickness, fatigue, headaches, feeling faint, thirsty, hungry etc all fairly normal. Your immune system is a bit suppressed so you seem to pick up any bugs which normally might not affect you.

So unless you have a fever - I'd say probably don't need the doctor. But if you are worried then maybe call the midwife and have a chat, see what they suggest?

Thanks for the replies. Touch wood no dodgy discharge just some burning when I wee and constant need to go to the loo!!! I feel sick as frig too and I tend to think it's just the joys of pregnancy.

I will give nhs direct a ring and try to get some sleep.

It's all fun isn't it?!
