I really WANT to like these. They look so glamorous on the website and get rave reviews.

But I'm completely and utterly incapable of putting them on. Getting dressed turns into a feverish nightmare where I squirm around trying to roll myself into layers of fabric. I then end up looking like a sausage or someone wearing an enormous bright blue bandage. And as soon as I lift my toddler / put out the rubbish / basically just move I end up with a gaping hole somewhere. Or the whole top wrapped around my chest.

The 'how to wear' video on the website looks so effortless... Tell me I'm not the only one!

I hear you, I ended up sending everything back from their website as I found the cut ridiculous and unflattering, especially for the price you pay. I have resolved to Seraphine and Asos, better price and better quality. At least for me :-)

Hehehehehehe Grin. Thank you for that (and sorry for laughing your sartorial misfortunes Blush)

Haahoooo · 12/12/2013 10:21

Grin I guess I should have know as I'm the least glamorous person on the planet and always messing up clothes that involve anything more than inserting arms / legs in the right places.

Agree Seraphine is the way to go.

PS forgot to say COS was a god send for pregnancy clothes for me , as their cut miraculously works well on pregnant body, and I feel less guilty buying clothes there as I know I can wear them again post pregnancy

quackojuliet · 12/12/2013 10:55

Ooh I normally love COS (sales!) But isn't is all a bit sack like? I find tighter stuff more flattering in pregnancy.
Got a isabella oliver dress in the sale which is nice but not really nice enough for the price, its not a complicated one tho.
My favourite pg clothes item have been stretchy asos or new look black dresses. Add a cardi and jewellery, mat leggings, and repeat...

callamia · 12/12/2013 11:06

I'm with you.
I hate ruched clothes when I'm not pregnant, I really didn't want to wear such middle-aged looking clothes when I was.
I mainly got mine from asos or gap.
I did not look glamorous while I was pregnancy, but I did look like me.

Tomkat79 · 12/12/2013 13:21

Haha I'm so with you too! I have 2 IO wrap tops that thankfully I bought on ebay for under £10 each. If I'd paid full price I think I would've turned up at head office and demanded they wrap it!

I always end up with a gap in the back or side and it always looks shoddy from the back! How does she do such a lovely neat knot on the side when you end up with one end down to the floor and the other half the length?! Confused

Haahoooo · 12/12/2013 14:55

I know, I know!!! A short and a long bit if fabric don't tie into a nice bow together!

I'm wearing my dress to work today and am constantly readjusting bits.
