how do I tell DH and just a general oh dear thread

Just that really
DH has 2DCs who live with us full time and we have 2 DCs together.

I had a pretty traumatic birth last time and I had to have an emergency c-section and ended up having an ovary removed. I was told it was very unlikely I would conceive again but we figured that was okay we still used protection just in case. I was irregular so I didn't really think about it.

So I had been ill for a few weeks and going to the toilet more than usual. I went to my GP and he confirmed I was pregnant. I am booked for an ultrasound sound later in the week.

So now I have to tell DH but I have no idea how to tell him because this is going to have a massive impact on us and our family. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Just be straight and honest with him it's all you can do op

If you value your marriage you need to tell him ASAP, before the ultrasound. Any discussion about the future needs to be together.

You'll be sharing the 'problem' and together will find a way through this.

Thanks, I will tell him as soon as he gets in from work. I just feel so nervous about it, which is probably silly but I can't seem to help it.

A problem shared is a problem halved and all that jazz!

Good luck, and remember, you didn't set out to trick him. In our house we say "accidents happen"

Don't feel guilty. After all it is you who will bear - literally - the brunt of this for the next year. Ask him for the emotional support you need - and offer him the same.

And if it's not too soon, congratulations! Thanks

rootypig thanks
auditangel May be we should start saying that in this house too
