Just got my BFP but HCG levels are VERY high - is this a cause for concern?

I just got my BFP this week and I took a clearblue digi test and the results showed pregnant 3+ but I am concernced as this seems to be very high for my dates

I have found out that the clearblue levels are
Since Conception HCG
1-2 50 - 200
2 -3 200 - 2000
3+ over 2000

my LMP was 30 Oct so was just concernced that this result would show an unusally high level of HCG - I just want everything to be ok and wanted to know if anyone also took this test and whether this result sounded normal or if this is unusually high for my dates.
Have scarily read that high levels can indicate things are not right so am panicking

thanks for any help or advice anyone has

Twins was what sprang to mind Grin but also I think those tests are less accurate than they claim. In most cases HCG would be low if something was going wrong.

I thought twins too Grin

I've heard that if something is wrong levels would be low too but I can't say that's right! Congratulations hope everything goes okay

thanks so much bakingtins - twins would be great :) :) just scared myself senseless googling high hcg levels and came up with very scary things :(

just thought that the clearblue digi doesn't correlate to my dates at all so I just don't begin to understand it
if my LMP was on LMP that would equate to 4 weeks not 5 weeks so how does the clearblue make sense - this testing has got me in to such a panic :(

yes you are right I have had very low levels before and that was not good at all :(

just desperately want everything to be ok this time
silly google for scaring me senseless!
if anyone has had high hcg levels in very early pg I would be so grateful to know what that means

oops that meant to say my LMP was on 30 Oct - silly typing!
thanks farovertherainbow - yes I had low levels before and that was not good :(

high levels do show scary complications though so that was what I was worried about and the googling about is in only making me more panicky

but twins I would be thrilled about - here's keeping my fingers crossed that its that :)

HCG levels in wee are also affected by how hydrated you are.
So if you didn't have much to drink the night before you tested, and so had very strong wee the following morning, you levels will be higher.
Likewise if you POAS mid afternoon, hormones in you urine are less concentrated, and so less likely to pick up a positive - hence the suggestion to test first thing in the morning.

Twins is another possibility.

Congrats!

I had a scan at just over 6wks and they found my hcg levels were sky high for my stage of pregnancy - so they scanned in case of molar pregnancy (which I'm sure is one of the google things you've scared yourself with...) but in my case it was just very high hcg, and consequently very bad nausea for 16wks...

Now 21wks and all is fine :) stay away from google, and congratulations!

thanks nextphase and misty9

the digi was done with FMU and I had indeed had very little to drink the night before so maybe that is why the levels seem to be higher - that would make alot of sense
yes nextphase I saw it could be twins with high levels - would be v happy with this :)

thanks misty for your reassurance - yes I had googled that too which is very scary :( Im hoping that mine is fine and really pleased its all going well for you at 21 wks

I have gone from POAS addict to a google addict and although its good to know info it does petrify you when you read things like that :(

Its reassuring to hear you had high hcg levels early on and all is well with you - yayyyy - just what I wanted to hear :)

thankyou
