pregnant 7 weeks with polyps and fibroids ...

Fertility tests in the past several months confirmed that I have few polyps (around 12mm), and several fibroids (largest 6cm), plus both blocked fallopian tubes... so I still can't believe that I'm pregnant... So far everything is fine, but should I be worried? I was supposed to have a polyps removal surgery this month, and then IVF treatment. Any mums here also have polyps and fibroids and safely delivered your babies? Any advice? Thanks. :)

Hi, I don't have polyps but 3 fibroids were detected at my 20 week scan with dc1. Largest was 9cm. No problems during pregnancy but did have an emcs. Now pg with dc2, was scanned yesterday and found 2 6cm fibroids. Think it all depends on if they move/grow during pregnancy. Make an appt to see your consultant. Good luck.

I found out I had 3 biggish fibroids at an early scan. The largest is approx 10cm and is right next to my cervix. It's possible it'll move right out of the way as my uterus has grown, but at 22 weeks it was still right there.

I have a scan next week, at 35 weeks, to see where it is now and decide whether I need an ELCS.

They have caused me 2 episodes of painful contractions so far, one at 22 weeks and one at 32 weeks. The first lot put me in hospital overnight but settled down eventually.

My consultant doesn't seem too worried. I've had to get used to the idea that I won't be allowed the home birth I wanted because I am at risk of haemorrhaging, and that a VB has a higher chance of turning into an EMCS. I'll just see what they say next week!

Good luck, OP. Depending on the placement of your fibroids, they might cause you no issues at all. I'm just unlucky that the biggest one of mine is blocking the exit!
