Hi all. im 8+6 and really struggling with motivation to stay active. I normally go to the gym about 4/5 times a week but now feel so tied and head achy that i'm struggling to go more than twice. I know keeping fit is vital but i really don't want to go! HELP!

I'd say just go with the flow. Your body is making a new person and may not have the energy left for lots of gym visits. Maybe aim to go swimming/walking 3 times a week. Get lots of rest - the first trimester is exhausting and you will hopefully feel better once you hit the second trimester. Be kind to yourself! Good luck Smile

(37+3 weeks here!)

I found it really hard to get to the gym more than 3 times a week during first trimester. Although I didn't suffer from morning sickness I felt quite queasy and bloated after work, which wasn't compatible with working out. But in second trimester I immediately felt much better and now even in early third I'm still getting to classes about 5 times a week. So hang in there - only 4 weeks to go!

Listen to your body and just rest! Don't push yourself.

I am 22 weeks now and only just starting to feel normal.

I'm also 8+6 and I've been signed off with morning sickness and general illness for a fortnight. I can barely get out of bed so don't worry- you aren't alone!
