How far into your pregnancy are you intending to drive? I have an obs appt for 40 weeks, I've been driving myself to all appointments so far but suddenly thought I might get DH to take me to that one (if I'm still going at 40 weeks!)

I stopped driving quite early. In my case it was because I have short legs so am quite close to the wheel at the best of times. It got to the point where my bump was virtually touching the wheel and I didn't want to risk being thown forward in the event of a crash.

No I wouldn't. I couldn't twist and look out of the car from all angles so it became dangerous to turn or reverse. Can't remember when I stopped - probably about 36 weeks. DS was huge and in an odd position though.

I managed just to fit behind the wheel and drove myself to my 34 week scan and hospital appointment. I had the world's biggest bump (twins) and the wheel touched my bump. Babies were born the next day.

Drove myself to hospital at 2am with dh in passenger seat when my waters broke. Dh had been to his office Christmas party and was a bit squiffy. He did ask if we could wait till morning as he was a little tired.
Did we really have to go there and then.
