Just wanting to share my story to raise awareness..

so the last 24 hours have been somewhat interesting.

I'm 15 weeks pg. Last night when I went to the loo I found a bit of blood. I can't be 100% sure where it came from but with my other symptoms it seems like it was a urine infection.

I was going to put off going to the doctors til monday and get some antibiotics, but then after some advice I decided I should seek medical attention 'just in case'.

I spent the next few hours on a merry go round of maternity hospital, out of hours gp and nhs 111 before I finally got through to a doctor at about midnight.

They needed to rule out a urine infection so off I went at 2:30am to the emergency doctor who seemed shocked at my glad reaction to the news that it was a urine infection.

If you are concerned about anything then please get it checked. The out of hours provision is admittedly a bit hit and miss but one thing is for sure, they take you seriously when you say you are pregnant. It was reassuring to know I wasn't actually wasting their time when they gave me the appointment at 2:30, as I knew it could potentially be serious.

So yes, dont leave it and hope it'l get better. get it checked out and get it sorted :)
