Baby won't stop moving!!!!!! I love it!!

I'm only posting because of happy and excited I am feeling

I'm 21wks+5 days and I started feeling very slight movements when I was about 19wks - I have an anterior placenta so the sensations I was feeling were quite muffled but I was 90% sure it was baby. It would always happen whilst lying in bed and I was trying to drop off

However, last night the baby's movements went off the scale - I have never felt anything like it before!! There was absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was baby and it felt so magical!!! I couldn't stop smiling!!! I put my hands on my bump and could feel all the movements that way too, it just felt out of this world.

But even better is that I have been feeling definite movements constantly throughout the day too. I have never had daytime movements before!!!

I'm just so happy and excited!!!

It really is the best feeling in the world is'nt it writer! I am on dc3 and have still relished it as much this time as the first 2.
I have an anterior placenta this time as well so movement was sporadic until two weeks ago (im now 24 wks). Now that its happening all day, and night, its so reassuring and lovely :-)

I started feeling movements about 16 weeks (posterior placenta and small build) but from 20 weeks they have been so strong and frequent and I've loved it!

39 weeks now and baby still mega active. Still great but can be painful now x

By far the best thing about pregnancy so far in my opinion. I've loved feeling the movement and as others say watching the alien belly come to life each evening is weird and wonderful all at the same time. I'm a bit worried it is something I'm really going to miss when baby arrives :(

Treasure it as you miss it so much after - I adore my dcs (obviously!) but there are moments when I wish I could be pregnant again with them, just for those times when you're in bed feeling them move. Such a magical time.

The weird thing is that once you've felt it, it never properly leaves you - I feel phantom baby kicks occasionally, and other mums I know admit to it too. I'm sure it's just gas, but it feels uncannily like foetal movement!

I love the kicking too. A bit worried that so much of it is nocturnal though - does this suggest a nocturnal baby?

Nope - it is because during the day the mother's are generally active and this activity (usually just walking around, even if only about the house) rocks and soothes the baby to sleep. They wake up at night because this soothing rocking movement is no longer present as the mother is lying down.

That's why people tend to rock their babies to sleep once they have been born as apparently it is supposed to make babies think of the security/motions they experienced in the womb.

Well, that's the theory anyway

I'm 31+5 and enjoying movements much less now than I did earlier on. I like it because he's active and healthy in there but the bigger he gets the weirder it feels!

The movements are wonderful. The riverdancing on my bladder, not so!

Baby has actually been quite quiet since Wednesday morning now He is still moving at night but not as much as he was the other night, maybe he's now just found himself a snug and deep position. I actually nearly phoned triage yesterday about it because I was worried, but then didn't. My husband has told me not to panic as he is still moving and my Consultant had said that she wouldn't expect regular or strong movements until I was 23-24 weeks pregnant. I thought as I moved into the second half of pregnancy I'd be able to relax (my first half was very fraught as I was having bleeds) but now I just have something new to worry about

There will always be something new to worry about! Even when the baby is 35 :o

I love the movements, even though now (at 33+5) they're often quite painful. I never get bored of feeling/seeing them.

I've been feeling little flutters for ages so I was very surprised that they recorded an anterior placenta at my 20 week scan yesterday!

Kicks and bumps are definitely getting more frequent & stronger now. It's lovely, very reassuring, I just wish DH was able to feel them too!

My husband is looking forward to feeling it too! I did put his hands on my stomach on Tuesday night (when the movements were really strong) but he was adamant he couldn't feel them! Men I wish I knew how long my baby was because I like to try and picture him in there, lol - I might get myself on Google and search for average length of babies at 22 weeks

It is so lovely feeling your baby move. I have only had one pregnancy (twins) and feeling them both move was weird but in a fantastic way. One was a night time mover and one a day time mover so I had almost constant moving. One of my fondest memories of being pregnant was laying in bed in the early hours with my hand on my bump feeling the smaller baby kick away. It is just lovely :)

He always seems to move more when one of my cats is curled up on my lap! I'm thinking he likes the purring vibrations

Isn't it wonderful?! I really missed it when DD was born, and am now waiting for it to start with DC2 - am 18 weeks, so any time now!
