Boy or girl?

Just for a bit of fun I thought I'd ask you all your theories to whether I'm having a girl or boy. My husband thinks all the old wives tales are none sense but I love reading them and predicting what I'm having!
I'm 15 weeks with my second child and will find out at the 20 week scan on Christmas Eve, so I will let you all know if you were right!
Ok symptoms;
-Terrible heartburn in the middle of the night
-spotty back and a few on chin ( normally great skin)

• heightened sense of smell. Gone off hubby's aftershave which I usually love!

- gag at everything!

• feel nauseous but not actually vomited.
• loss of appetite. Having to force down food.
• craving lemon sweets, cloudy lemonade, apple juice.

-feel worse as the day goes on. -bed asleep by 9pm most nights. -hubby says I'm moody :-(, wouldn't you be with all the above symptoms though ! Lol

Sounds to me like you're having.... A baby sorry, I'm with your DH on this, I can't get my head round the old wives tales. I do hope you get a good look at baby during your scan though, Christmas Eve is an awesome date to find out the gender, how magical.

I had a lot of your symptoms in early pregnancy (I craved cloud lemonade ice lollies) and I'm having a girl

I'm also 15 weeks but no 20 week scan date yet. booooo.

I've had no sickness, bit of nausea at times. bad headaches. but that's about it. same as DD symptoms. I really think I'm having another girl. hubby would love a boy but I just can't see myself with a blue one :-)

I had that all 3 times and have had 2 DD's and 1 DS so you can never tell :)

I'm 17 weeks and DP and I are CONVINCED we're having a girl, for no reason other than a gut feeling. We will (hopefully) find out on 16 December. I'm a bit sceptical about old wives' tales

Another vote for girl. I had zits, cravings for apples, lemony and sour stuff too. Mind you I was convinced I was expecting a boy until we found out.

Are you going to find out at the scan or will you do a gender reveal type thing on Xmas day?

We got the Dr to write down the sex at our 20 week scan and put it in an envelope without telling us. We gave it to the woman baking our wedding cake. Then we waited a couple of weeks and found out when we cut the cake. It was just amazing to find out surrounded by all our friends and family.

I think you should have a gender reveal secret envelope in your Christmas pudding.

i was considering asking the sonographer to write it down for us for christmas. i cant wait to find out.. currently not having many symptoms though lol

Yes I was thinking of asking the sonographer to write it in a Christmas card that we could open on Christmas morning. But 24 hourd is suuuuuuch a long time! I think ill just say "tell me now" and all the nice ideas of waiting till Xmas day will go out the window lol!

I had bad morning sickness with all my boys but not at all with girls,
The old wife's tales iv found mostly to be right is that when I'm expecting boys my hair (all over) gets thick and grows really fast, I'm naturally blonde and leg hair ect is practically invisible till I'mpg with boys, also that I show all on the belly no weight anywhere else with boys and girls I put it on all over.
But if I'm going to guess from your symptoms I'll say girl
Btw I'm pg with dc5 iv 2dd and 2ds pg with another boy!!

Old wives tales are just silliness!

According to all my symptoms most people who believed in the tales told me I was having a girl. I loved it when I corrected them and said actually it was a boy! It always makes me inwardly smile when people try and predict the sex or are convinced they 'just know'

People have a 50% chance of their guess being right which is pretty good odds. I always want to roll my eyes when the people who guessed it right make comments like: "See, I told you!! I just knew it" I just want to say, "Well no, you just made a guess. It was either going to be a boy or girl, you hardly had 100 options to choose from

I'm pg with my second, and my symptoms have been more or less the same for both. Less sore boobs this time, but felt slightly sicker early on, but nothing major. Mine are one of each. Also my gut feeling was wrong with both! Girl first (everyone said it was a boy), now a boy.

Your symptoms sound exactly the same as mine were, and I had a girl - so that's what I'm guessing for you

Your symptoms sound similar to mine when I had my DD so I'll guess girl too.

I've craved lemon sweets all three times with my...... daughters.

I had the same all 3 times and I have 3 boys

I always felt sick but never vomited
I craved fresh apple and orange juice
My skin was awful
I was always in bed earlier than normal
Etc etc

I had a girl and my only similar symptom was 24/7 nausea, my cravings were all savoury and mainly meat, I had regular trips to Mcd's for big macs and fantasised about steak yet had never eaten one in my life.

All the old wives tales told me I was having a boy as did the Chinese gender predictor.

Well everyone.... We had the 20 week scan today, and I am expecting a girl!
Seems like most of you were right with your guesses!
