A bit surprised really, haven't had any problems with Psoriasis since I was 15 and sitting my GCSE Wink

Last week I noticed a large patch on my calf of my leg. Didn't give it huge amount of thought as I wasn't feeling well horrid head cold, which total floored me. However this morning, I got 4 or 5 new smaller patches on both calfs now. Can anyone explain why?

Hormones, Stress, Having been ill? Seeing my GP next week for a check up will mention it then.

Didn't have anything like this with DD.

I don't have psoriasis but I've always suffered from eczema and other various itchy/annoying skin complaints. Since I've been pregnant it's ramped up considerably, my dermatologist told me it's most likely just the hormones so maybe it's the same for your psoriasis.
I'm almost as far along as you (29 weeks) and mine's got a fair but worse over the last couple of weeks/days so I feel your pain.
Sorry I don't have any better advice. Ask your MW next time you see her

I've had very itchy patches. I now use aveeno shower oil which has cleared them up (touch wood)

It could be related to the head cold rather than the pregnancy. Did u have a sore throat at all? Sometimes strep throat can cause flare ups of dormant psoriasis.
Osteopathy often v helpful for psoriasis sufferers.

Yes I did have a very sore throat...ohh interesting.

Had to send DD to my friends childminder as I couldn't lift my head of the pillow one day. However I dragged my pregnant ass out of bed for well over a week, not probably I should if had a few days fully resting...

Drs should be able to prescribe you dovonex but it has steroids in. It is very effective though
