We have been given a beautiful wooden crib from my nana, it was originally bought in 1983 when my older brother was born and all her grandchildren have had it since then (all 7 of us!) and it means so much to her that her first great grandchild will get to use it as well. Obviously it's advised to get a new mattress for each baby and in this case I really need to get one, the mattress that came with it is a bit of foam not much thicker than a changing mat and my aunt, who had it most recently, bought another one that is about 2 inches too small so really not suitable either. Looked online at all the obvious places (mothercare, kiddicare, mamas & papas) and none are the right size, 84cm x 37cm. Any ideas either where I might find one? Chances are my nana would never find out if we didn't use it, while she's pretty mobile for pushing 75 we live far enough away that she wont drive up to visit, us but the crib is so beautiful I would be devastated not to use it.
Is it even possible to make one somehow?
